Reflections for Police Officer James Williams Branson, Jr.

God Bless the family and friends of Officer James Branson. Your friends on the other side of the state are praying for him and his family and co-workers.

PO Michael A Baker
Kansas City MO Police

To the loving family and many friends of Officer James Branson, we thank you for shaping him into the courageous and dedicated public servant he became. May you take comfort in knowing that the citizens of the City of St. Louis celebrate his life and contributions, and join you in mourning his passing.

Colonel Mary E. Nelson, President
St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners

James,

It was a tremendous honor getting to know you as we worked together at Central Patrol. When the accident occurred, all of your brothers and sisters in blue were there to help you and your partner P.O. Jackson. I was filled with Pride as everyone did their part in the rescue efforts.

My condolences go out the the Branson family and friends, because James was a Hero, doing his best to protect all of us from harm.

Jesus said: "I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will Live." John 5:25

I believe James has heard the Son of God, and may he rest in peace for a job well done.

Sergeant Jeff Barnes
St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department

It is at times like this that I find myself speechless and reflect back over the years remembering the smiling faces of so many of my friends and associates that gave their life for the service of others.

I never had the pleasure to meet James, but I am sure he was a great friend, husband and father. I am deeply sorry for your loss, but I know that he will be at peace in the company of the many heros that past before him.

He will join the ranks of many at the right hand of the Lord.

May God bless you and keep your family safe in this most trying and difficult times.

CHIEF RONNIE WATFORD-RETIRED
JEFFERSON POLICE DEPT,S.C.

If there is any good news from this tragedy it is the remarkable progress his partner, Officer Jermaine Jackson, has made in the past few days. I would like to think that James has a new assignment, that as guardian angel for Jermaine.
