Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Michael Eron Shannon

Although I did not know Officer Shannon, my sympathy goes out to his fellow officers and his parents and brother and sister. May his soul rest in peace. Even though I have been retired 13 + plus years I still feel bad when I hear of the death of a "fellow officer".

Thank you for serving this country so highly, Thoughts and prayers with the family.

There are but two persons who protect the sinful human race from destroying itself. One is God's Holy Spirit. The other is the Peace Officer. Without them, we would all perish at each other's hands.
According to Romans 13.1-5...
God ordains the Peace Officer’s profession.
The Peace Officer is sent by God.
The Peace Officer is vested with God's authority to enforce the law.
A Peace Officer's badge is to be honored by us, because it is honored by God.

To the family of Michael Shannon and the Adams County Sheriff's Office, your extended family of Law Enforcement Officers grieve with you during this time. Though our badges are different, our mission is the same. Rest in peace with the other fallen Heros, my brother. We will continue the fight in your honor.

I want to express my sorrow for the family and fellow officer's. I see another name go on this site just brings me to tears. I know this officer wont be the last, and I pray one day we will see an end to this horrible act. My prayers are with the family, and friends and co-workers. May God ease the pain.

Although we have lost another brother, the fight for justice will continue. We are here because we wish to be and that will never change.

My name is also the same and I will carry on in your honor my brother. I have never met you nor do I know your family but believe in the truth of justice. You will always be remembered in your glory. You will always be honored in your duty. You will forever be my brother.

If tomorrow never comes...
I will remain.
