I only knew Trooper Blanton from occasionally backing him on traffic stops and from court. From the little I knew of him it was apparent that he was a dedicated professional. Because of his commitment to duty and his unwavering determination to remove those self-centered, uncaring, DUI drivers off the roadway, he has made the supreme sacrifice of his life. His life was stolen from him, his family and friends by the hands of one of those who he was attempting to remove from the roadways before they hurt someone else.
