Your heroism and service is honored today, the 7th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace

Hello Boo,

I can't believe we were toren apart 7 years ago. I still miss you everyday...your laugh, your smile, your love. I have made it farther than I ever thought I would over the past 7 years and I know a big reason is that you continue to watch over me and protect me. I still love you with every heartbeat. Until we meet again...forever yours!

Hey Boo,

I miss you! I had a nice Thanksgiving with friends. One of the things I am most grateful for is having met you and having the opportunity to love you and be loved by you even for our short time. See you when I get there. I love you! Lee Ann

Good Morning Boo,

What I wouldn't give to be with you to celebrate your Birthday today. Only you truly know what's in my mind and heart. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and always will be. I love you so very much. And thank you for the gift this morning. It's your Birthday but you continue to be you and always giving to others. You know how to re-focus me on what I need to be doing. I am so blessed that you love me so much. Happy Birthday baby!

Forgive me for missing the anniversary of your E.O.W., but I felt as though I could not continue to read about so many tragedies. I now realize the visit each day to leave a word of encouragement and hope to the loved ones of others, helps me to remember that I am not alone with my pain and heartbreak. So may I say to your friends and loved ones that my thoughts and prayers are with them now and always. Continue to keep watch over them and those still out on patrol and may they know you will never be forgotten.

Officer Booker, Just thought I'd hit u up real quick while I'm sitting here at work. I thought about you and realized its now been six years since you left Lee Ann. Since you left this earth and became one of God's top Lieutenants. It's weird, although I never met you, I'm sad. Sad that God called you home early and the woman that loves you the most can't be with you. I just wanted to give some kind words to a kind and gentle soul. Whenever you cross my mind and you do it frequently, I always remember Lee Ann. I think of you often to Dear. Well big guy I'll let you go. Put in a word for me at the gates.

Boo,

I can't believe I haven't held you hand in 6 years. Six years ago today, I would have never thought it was possible to survive this long without you here but through the grace of God and loving friends and the fact that I know how much you still love me, I am still here and finally starting to "live" again. I miss you everyday and will always love you with everything I have. Until we are together again, rest in peace.
Yours forever,
Lee Ann

Lee Ann, I know six years have gone by but it doesn't lessen the heartache and pain of losing and missing Andre. Thinking of you, his family, Andre and Patrick "Paddy" Flickinger. They left us much too soon.

Hello baby,

I just wanted to say hello as I read over your new messages. It's nice that you still get folks writing to you after more than 5 and 1/2 years. You are admired by all who knew you and all who didn't have that wonderful opportunity. I'm so happy that I was one of the blessed to truly know you and even more blessed to be loved by you. Until I see you again, please remember how much you mean to me.

I love you,
Lee Ann

Officer Booker, it's been a minute since I said hey. I thought I'd research you a little on the internet and find out exactly why you had to die that night. I found out that you were attempting to apprehend a felon firing a gun. Guys like you are so unselfish, always putting other peoples wants and needs before your own. You put the safety of your community before your own life and that makes you a Hero. Heros live forever and so shall you. You were a very liked person by everyone who knew you and that says so much. You knew exactly what you were doing that night, never hesitating one second. Thanks you for your unselfish sacrafice. I just wanted to let you know you are remembered and you wont be forgotten. Thanks my friend.

"The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

Officer Booker, I want to say just a few words on how much I appreciate your dedication to what you believed in. You were a good and honest police officer, who just wanted to make wrong things right. You are missed soo much by your loving family and friends. Lee Ann talks about you alot. It's been 5 years since God called you home and Lee Ann still misses you terribly. Let your wonderful memories and your love for her comfort and keep her. Lee Ann, Andre is safe with his Lord and Savior and if you believe anything at all, believe he'll be waiting for you at the Gates with open loving arms!
God Bless Officer Andre Gerard Booker(Henrico County Police Officer).
