I rember JoAnn Liscombe as if it was yesterday. I come from a family that was not perfect and she helped me as a juvenile. I witnessed her with her murderer that cold night and miss her strength. Tonight, another St. Louis County officer Langsdorf has lost his life. I want you to know I turned out alright and will always remember your sacrifice.

JoAnn's death was a shock. We canvassed the entire area for any evidence and searched for her missing revolver.
Her parents were devasted, but were so gracious for the support they received from the County PD, Chief Battelle, and BackStoppers.
I never met JoAnn, but all who knew her and worked with her in the 1st Precinct, were in shock and disbelief.
May you rest in Honored Glory, we will never forget you.

when Joanne was a dispatcher I had just graduated from the academy. When she entered the academy I had already become an RN. I worried about her because of her extrordinary kindness as a human being. When I reread the case against her assailant, it simply becomes hard to digest. Love you Joanne..a real angel

I lived in Whispering Lake Appartments just down the street from where she met her unforunate physical end. She was simply a very nice person. When you don’t break the law you don’t have to worry about anything else. She was good people.

JoAnn and I attended Northwest High School together and graduated in 1970. We dated briefly in High School and she was a sweet, kind, caring young lady. She was also very talented and a great dancer. I think of her often and she was taken from us all much too soon. Thank you for your service and Prayers for you and everyone who knew and loved you.

We graduated high school together. Northwest class of 1970. When I heard of your murder. I was stunned. You were always a good person who lived people and laughter. I think of you often when I pass that corner off Old Halls Ferry Road when you were taken far too soon. Prayers for your family. You will always be remembered. Thank you for your service.

I recently saw this on the ID Channel. Even though I didn't know this young woman, I almost cried. The person who did this horrific crime should have gotten the death penalty. You are so very much missed, young lady. May you RIP.

I recently saw a show on ID channel which told the story of this Lady's death. I didn't know her but I was very touched by the story. She did so much good for people and that's what she was doing on the nite she was murdered. No one interviewed on the show had ANY bad things to say about her. She always seemed to go out of her way to help others. There are some cops in every city in America who need to read about her death and learn about the sacrifices she made. You know who you are!
