A Brother in Blue

CPD, NY

I don't know what to say Bobby...... It is Christmas night in Manila and I am waiting for some friends to go out and celebrate. I was sending e-mail while waiting and felt a need to check the Memorial.

I don't believe that you are gone. You were Jimbo's right hand man and always there for us when I was at the Task Force. I know that you are missed by the people you served so well, so honestly, and so dedicated. You weathered plenty of storms over there in Houston County and were always one of the good-guys. My prayers go out to your wife and family, and to my East Texas Law Enforcement brothers. May God always walk with each of you as you are the real heros in this crazy world. Rest in Peace my brother.

Everyday I come to work I check this site... and every time I find a new hero has fallen I remember my friend. I would pray that there were no more... not one more. But I would settle for not one more in the short time we have left in 2002.

My prayers go out to the family, friends and fellow deputies of Deputy Sheriff Bobby Franks. Take comfort in knowing that he died a hero. He died while helping someone. God has a special place for those who put their life on the line for others! He will be in the same place as those fireman and police officers who ran in the building while others were running out!
