To Shannon-I was off sick the day I saw the news broadcast. I was stunned-did I hear right? I still can't believe it. I just ask God to watch over us that continue to do the job and remember you as a human being and your indispensable knowledge that you never hesitated to pass on to other staff members. You will certainly be missed.

It saddens my heart to see that a fellow Law Enforcement Officer is being laid to rest. It saddens my heart more to see someone from my hometown. Being a member of the of the military, I do not know many of the officers that protect and serve their communities, but we all share a common goal, and I praise Deputy Russell for the work he did in his community. God Bless You and your family as you watch over us in our daily lives. Rest In Peace my Brother.
