Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer David Frank Mobilio

Although your tour of duty is over, you will never be forgotten! May God bless you, your family and your co-workers. Rest in peace my brother.

Motor Officer Don Cone
San Diego Police Department

To the family of Officer Mobilio,
I know the pain that you are feeling. I relived it again when I heard of your loss, and will continue to relive it everytime one of our heros is taken from us.
The loss of my father has been the hardest thing to overcome in my life, but I am starting to laugh again, and most importantly I am starting to see my mom laugh again. Those who have left us would not want us to live our lives in sorrow. The song "Just Dance" by LeAnne Womack played at my dad's funeral, if you get a chance, listen to the words and try to live by them. The sorrow and love for my dad will never leave me, nor will it ever leave you, it just starts to take a back seat to living life to it's fullest.
My heart goes out to all of you,
Jennifer Estes
Daughter of slain Butte County Sheriff Lt. Larry Estes

My love, and the love of my fellow northern California officers goes out to David's family and colleagues. Profound words escape me and I am left with what my father has said for as long as I can remember...hang in there. God bless those who protect the weak and defend the innocent.

Officer Joshua Wiener
City of Fortuna Police, California

I'am sorry.

Cpl Marko Martin

Another sensless death of a law enforcement officer at the hands of a coward. God bless your soul and those left behind during this dark time.

I am writing this note sitting in my home, with my family, on a day off that is so cherished. I just put down the morning paper that tells of your killer being arrested in New Hamphire. He didnt like police tactics. He picked you out in random. He is a true coward just as you were the finest example of a true hero. Thank you my brother. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace. Your family will always be part of OUR family.

Offcr B.P.Engelhardt

Heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Officer Mobilio. I never met Dave, but have learned from others in our small town that he was a person of honor, a kind man who loved his wife and son, who spent countless hours teaching the children of Red Bluff about the dangers of drugs through the DARE program.

As an ER nurse, I have seen my share of tragedies, especially when I worked in large cities. But this senseless and horrific murder of such a wonderful person has shaken me, and my fellow Red Bluff citizens, to the core.

Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you, Dave, with your family, and with every other member of police departments, wherever they are located. You put your lives on the line for us every day, and we are grateful. May you rest in God's grace, and may your family receive from God the strength they need each day to carry on.

With deep sadness,
Denise, David, and Yvonne Derk
