Reflections for Sergeant Daniel Dale Green

To the Family, Relatives, Friends, and Fellow Law Enforcement Officers of Sgt. Dale Green,

We are at a time not knowing what to think, much less just what to say. The nation and the world seems to be a battlefield in itself. What I do know is that I do know who holds our future and He will hold you in His loving arms through this time and for these days and for all of eternity.

Let us remember Sgt. Dale Green by continuing to "Protect and to Serve." May you trust the Lord always.

Dale,
I worked for you while you supervised the Charlie COP Squad. You were the best cop I have ever known, a role model for all of us on the Squad.

It was not only as a professional law enforcement officer that I admired and respected you Dale, you set a personal example for me as a faithful husband, a proud and loving father and a man of faith. You were my mentor and I would walk through fire for you, Sir.

I pray that you are smiling down on us all as we do our work the way you did yours: with pride, duty, a genuine love for your fellow man and that mischievous grin that told everyone who knew you how much you loved life.

Thank you, Sir for all you have given us and all you have given me. God bless Dale Green and all those who love him.

It is so difficult to question the powers that be, but if providing us with one more guardian angel to guide us through our endeavors, Sgt. Green is the best man for the job. Our lives will last longer and be more fulfilled due to the fact that he has touched us in so many ways. We will live longer because we will remember that if our equipment fails, or backup does not arrive in time, or maybe even the bad guy gets a second wind, we will fight on and win because Dale will always be our permanent go to guy.

Rest in peace, Sergeant, our prayers are with your family and department.

Dale,

I will remember you for your sense of humor, your handsome smile and hearty laugh, and the fact that you were truly a gentleman, which means alot to women in law enforcement. I'm honored to have attended the academy with you and for our years of friendship that began there. I pray for your family and hope that you will send them the courage to go forward as I know you would want them to do. May God bless you always.
