Reflections for Special Deputy Sheriff Andrew McGinnis

Rest in peace and always know that your service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be remembered and revered.

Rest In Peace

God grant that you and Daddy had a blessed reunion in His heaven, father and son together in our Father's presence. Daddy never stopped missing you, grieving for you, feeling your loss. To his dying day, Daddy was lonely for you just as now I am lonely for him. Fathers are so precious and so missed when gone. Give Daddy a hug for me.

Wish I would of had the chance to know you. I've heard many great things over the years from your daughter, my Grandmother. She misses you. Rest in peace.

Perhaps in eternity I shall be able to meet and know the grandfather I've never known. I have only the memories of my father, a young boy when he lost his father that day, and other family by which to know grandfather Andrew. God bless you.

No peace officer is without reflection. Only one day on the job and you give the ultimate sacrafice. Thank you for your service. Rest easy and know you are not forgotten.
