Jean Vincent

there is a destiny that makes us brothers,
none go his way alone
all that we send into the lives of others,
comes back into our own...He is gone from this earth, however, all the memories will keep him close, and laughter you shared will stay in your hearts. My prayers to his family, thanks Detective Potienko, you are a hero to all of us left in the thin (and getting thinner) blue line.

For those who pledge to uphold it, freedom requires a sacrifice the protected will never know.

My heart crys for Detective Potienko's family and friends. I was married to a state trooper for 8 years and he was killed when a tractor trailer struck him while on a traffic stop. Even though the person probably didn't intentionally hit your officer, it's still so hard to not be very angry at them. My God give you the comfort, strength and support that you will need to deal with your loss. Many of us will be praying for you.
