My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Officer Wayne Scott's wife, unborn child, family, friends and co-workers. I pray for peace of God in the life of his wife as she goes through this pregnancy without the father of her child and at the time of her child's birth. I pray God will surround you with love and send His Holy Spirit to comfort you. You are never alone. You also have your law enforcement family to stand with you. Miles may separate us, but love knows no bounds. Psalm 55:22

To Officer Scott's wife: May God give you the comfort, courage & strength that you will need to help you during this tragedy. May he also help you with your child's birth and guide you in helping your child know his/her father through pictures, stories and remembrances from other people. Your road will be a tough one but trust in God and let other's help you when they offer. You are in my prayers.

I worked with Wayne in Maryvale Precinct when I was a rookie. Wayne had a couple of years of experience on me, but he was always very friendly and helpful. I remember when he tested to become a motor. He was so excited to find out that he placed well on the test. He explained to me that he was going to be one of the most junior officers to get to be a motor. He was proud of that.
In the years since, Wayne continued to be a friendly guy who always displayed an interest in my life...especially in the cartooning that I do. He was one of the biggest fans of my police cartoons. I will miss Wayne.

God must have had a special escort in mind, to call two motor officers home on the same day. Rest in peace, brothers; the rest of us will carry on.

I had the pleasure of working with Wayne right after he finished Solo Motor training. He was a good cop and a good man. The world is a much poorer place without him. God bless him and keep him.

Sgt. Chris Bray
