You have earned life eternal, because every day you stood on that thin blue line and said, "no one will hurt you, not on my watch they won't". Your family should know that those of us who stand that watch were lucky to have you in our family too. May God Bless you and those who loved you, and worked with you.

There is no words to express the grief we are feeling at the Park Service right now. Two dedicated officers from two divisions lost their lives within hours of each other. Officer Farthing and Ranger Eggle worked on different sides of the country but shared a common bond-that they died protecting Americas treasures. God bless the US Park Rangers and US Park Police, the law of the land.

Rest in peace, Ranger Eggle. May God comfort those you leave behind.

Another great hero offers the ultimate sacrifice. My deepest sympathy to the family, friends and fellow officers of Ranger Eggle.
