I want to honor the memory of my grandfather Morris Broderson, who lost his life too soon, and left behind a 12 year old daughter, my mother Florence Broderson. May you rest in peace, along with the rest of your family.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I am very sorry that my mother [Florence Broderson] lost her father at such an early age. As a 12 year old girl and only child, she was required to live with 2 aunts so her mother could earn a sufficient living to support them. Obviously, I never got to know my grandfather either, and appreciate this website which provided some additional insight into his untimely death. May he rest in peace.

I said a little prayer today for Keeper Broderson and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Morris Broderson left behind not only a wife, but a daughter, Florence Broderson, my grandmother, who moved to Los Angeles. He will always be remembered.
