Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Christopher Wayne Russell

Officer Chris Russell and his family will be in our prayers. I may not have known him but he is a fellow brother.
We as Police officers must never lose track of that fact.

God Bless each and everyone of us, as we go out to do the job no one else wants to do.

Police Officer John Pagan
Chicago Police Department

We are all better people and a better nation for having Officer Russell. It is for people like him, and many before him, that we all enjoy the peace and freedom we have. To the family, friends and co-workers in New Orleans, I have you in my prayers and I will carry you in my heart.

To the family and friends of Chris Russell,
Words cannot express my profound grief and anger at what has happened. The Crescent City and all of the world today is mourning one of it's heroes. Let his co-workers carry on his name and remember him with praise and laughs and a few tears. And let his family know that he was, is, and forever will be a hero to the city and to us. God bless you Chris.

This officer's death is truly unfortunate. It sounds as though this officer (and others arriving on the call) never even had a chance to defend himself. I can't wait to hear of the other two animals involved in Officer Russell's slaying getting caught and brought to justice! God Bless the Officer and the family that he had to leave behind.

to my friend, brother in blue and partner:

the lord has called you home, to inevitably protect his home as you so proudly protected the citizens of new orleans. you paid the ultimate price, a price we accept to pay every time we wear the uniform. we never forget our own, just remember we will protect and care for you're family and children as we have discussed many times before if it were to happen. we are at war here, watch over us chris. love ya bro.
