Reflections for Police Officer Jessica Ann Nagle-Wilson

On behalf of the Carteret County Sheriff's Office and the State of North Carolina, our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, family, department, and the community of Hazel Park. We are truly sorry for the loss of Officer Wilson. The city of Hazel Park and the State of Michigan lost a police officer today, Heaven gained an Angel.

Deputy Kevin B. Kelley
Carteret County Sheriff's Office, North Carolina

There are so many of these deaths that you say to yourself, "how many times have I been on a call like that and walked away?", I know God's plan is perfect, and we are all going to be together someday patrolling the heavenly streets, but for now, it is heartbreaking to read of so many young officers leaving us so soon. To her husband and family, your comfort will be found in our Heavenly Father, and in the fact that she died doing what she loved best, there are no words to take away the ache you will feel forever, just know we, in the law enforcement community, are praying for you, now and always....
Isaiah 30:31

It doesn't sound like Officer Wilson had a chance....what a shame to be killed in such a cowardly way. I hope the coward that took her life gets the punishment he deserves...I know he will when he meets our Lord. Officer Wilson, may God give your family, friends & co-workers the comfort, strength & courage they need to make it through this. I pray that they will help each other...not just in the next month but for months/years to come. Your memory will always be with those who knew you...and those of us who have also lost officers in the line of duty will be praying for your loved ones. Rest in peace Officer Wilson.
