Reflections for Police Officer Jessica Ann Nagle-Wilson

God bless this hero, her family, friends, and her department in this tragic time. Rest in peace!

Andrew
Baltimore City Police

God bless you and your family.

Police Officer
NYPD

On behalf of the City of Saint Joseph Police Department I would like to express our condolences to Jessica's family and co-workers. Jessica, her brother, and I were all in the same academy class at Ferris State. As I stood next to you in PT I stand next to you now in my heart and mind, I'll never forget!

To the residents of Hazel Park, you lost a truly valuable Officer, and an equally wonderful person. She was one of the "good guys" for the job she chose, she was one of the best because of who she was. Rob, I'm so sorry.

K-9 Officer Matt Rhoa
Saint Joseph City Police, MI

My regards to ofc.Wilson's family, Everyday we put on the uniform we take the risk of never coming home. My prayers go out to the Officers of Hazel Park P.D, I just want to let you know that you have a friend and a brother here in Toronto, that understands what is it to lose a friend, a sister.

Constable J. Rivera
Toronto Police Service

On behalf of the Baltimore County Police Department and the State of Maryland...may God bless Officer Wilson. Our agency lost a brother in arms earlier this year, and we all mourn when a fellow brother or sister is taken from us. God Bless.

It's amazing to work in a profession where the loss of a fellow officer we never met can still mean and hurt so much as it does. You will always be remembered Jessica. You died a warrior. My condolences go out to her husband Officer Wilson of the Detroit Police Dept., her family, friends and all of the members of the Hazel Park Police Department. Rest In Peace Jessica.

As a mom, the worst pain and heartache in this world is hearing that your child has been killed. I lost my son in a cowardly act of execution almost 2 years ago. There isn't a day that goes by that he isn't in my thoughts. I know the pain and agony Officer Wilson's family is going through. I know the feeling of thinking I'm dreaming and when I wake up, all will be well and my son will walk through our door one more time. I know that pain! God bless you, family of Officer Wilson. I wish there was something I could do to make this all go away so you wouldn't have to suffer the way you are. I wish no other family would have to go through this. We use the term "they're sick" too loosely when someone flies off in a rage and kills someone. Some people are just plain evil. They are Satan themselves. Am I an angry mom? You bet I am and I get angrier when I read of the senseless death of good officers like Jessica Wilson.

All of the faculty and staff at Ferris State University, where Jessica earned her degree and received her basic police training, are shocked and saddened to hear of her loss. We remember her as a bright, intelligent and capable young woman who had a great interest in law enforcement and was motivated to serve and protect the innocent. She was a credit to our program and to her department.

We extend heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

I never met Officer Wilson. As I sat at the breakfast table this morning with tears in my eyes my 5 year old daughter asked why I was crying. I told her another police friend of mine was killed by a bad guy. She said "Don't cry daddy, your friend is in heaven."
