It was your duty to serve. IT IS OUR DUTY TO HONOR YOU!!! Your sacrifice will always be remembered. Your spirit and drive to fight is an inspriration to all who wear the badge. As a trainer, I promise to hold your bravery in the upmost respect and as the greatest example of courage under fire when teaching other officers. To your family and friends our Prayers and thoughts are with you.

You, your department, and your family are in my prayers..!!

Officer S.L. Coffman
California Highway Patrol

Anytime an officer is lost in the line of duty, it is tragic and heartbreaking...but that pain is even stronger when it is someone of whom you have memories. For the brief time that I knew Jessica at Ferris State, she was someone to look up to and her direction and leadership was never mistaken. My prayers go out to her family and friends. I know God may not make sense at times, but we must "trust in Him with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding."

Cadet Bethany Walworth
St. Petersburg Police Dept., FL

To Officer Wilson family and friends our hearts and prayers go out to you.

God Bless you

Terry Miyares, surviving spouse
Officer Emilio Miyares, Hialeah PD, FL E/O/W 11/6/1986

Jessie, I left to teach firearms at the academy on the day you were taken from us. I looked at this site that day and prayed under my breath that we would not lose another.
I have returned after a week away, and read about you. You were so young, and just begining in your law enforcement career.
To your husband, and fellow badge, I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine that would attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot reframe from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of your brothers, and sisters of the Department that she died to save. I pray that our heavenly father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost and the solonm pride that must be yours to have laid down so costly a sacrifice upon the alter of freedom.
God bless you both.

Lt. Mark Farmer
Aiken Department Public Safety

Rest in peace officer Wilson. You will be missed greatly

A million times we'll cry........

We all make a sacrifice by pinning on the badge. Some of us make a higher sacrifice by getting injured on duty. Few of us make the ultimate sacrifice. Jessica is a hero. She saved the lives of fellow officers and citizens. She was a dear friend, wife, sister, and daughter. Jessica, I will not forget. Rob and Matt, I cannot explain my heartfelt sadness for you guys, I am so sorry.

Officer Gregory Wald
Birmingham (MI) Police Dept.

Even though I never knew Officer Wilson, I feel a lot of pain and sorrow because of this "pathetic" act of violence. You have touched so many lives. You are an inspiration to all, and a true hero. Thank you for all that you did. You will never be forgotten.
