My how the time has flown. As always, it seems like yesterday that you were selfishly taken from us! Nags you are missed everyday. Yes it has become easier through the years but the memory of that day is still difficult. You are always on our minds and in our hearts.

Nashville wasn't the same as it was 13 years ago. We stayed at the same campground, only in a cabin. I told my kids of our adventures. Thank you for the great memories.

I don't know where else to say it, so I write it here. You are so sorely missed. Even though the years keep flying by, there are so many instances when I remember something and want to share it with you. I know I was so fortunate to share so many good times with you, but sometimes I feel robbed that we miss out on so many more.

Every time I hear Sissys Song by Alan Jackson I think of you, it does bring a tear.
Even though I didn't know you, your parents have told me stories about you, they love and miss you,as you know you have a great family.

Jessica-
As I am now a teacher, I tell all of my students of the tragedy that occurred to you. I think about you and Matt all the time, and what a short time we all had together at FSU. But still, your memory lives on. I can't believe that you have been gone for so long, but yet it still feels like yesterday that you and Matt were at my wedding.

The picture that represents you here is as I remember you. Always friendly and smiling.

May God bless you up there.

You have a new niece! Isabella Ann came into the world May 24th at 8:11 am. We were hoping for your birthday but she decided she wanted to wait a day, which was OK. Sunday's child is full of grace, just like you were.

Dad and I might not have been able to go to DC this year but Hazel Park PD is there, honoring and remembering you. I watched the Candlelight Vigil via live stream so I felt that a part of me was with you.

Love and miss you,

I work at hazel park raceway where officer Nagel would make the departments nightly end of the night visit to the facility. I never did meet her but I just noticed she carried herself very well, seemed a lady and a disciplined police afficer at the same time. God Bless Her Loved Ones.

I met your mother yesterday while she was representing her employer at a campus function. We shared some of our experiences and I hope it gave her comfort to know that all of us in law enforcement are one big family. It was a comfort to me to be able to share some of my thoughts. It was important for my to find this webpage so that I could know you a little better.

Hi Jessica,

Been thinking about you a lot lately. We had two line of duty deaths in Michigan since the end of December and the last couple of weeks have been bad for the law enforcement community across the United States. Four officers in CA and then three officers were killed answering a domestic dispute last week in PA. Manda and I heard it started between a Mother and her son because of a dog. Ever time an officer is killed it is senseless but over a dog? Doesn’t that sound too familiar? I know there was more to the story but it’s the part that really hits home for us.

Love and miss you,
Mom

Just wanted to drop by and let you know I was thinking of you. We're supposed to go to the reunion this weekend which should be fun, but of course it's always bittersweet since you were such a huge role in it all and will be missing. Sometimes I think thats why I typically avoid all that- but I just remember how many people out there never had a friend (or the silly crazy times we shared) like you and it helps a bit.. Really missing you!

Merry Christmas Jessica,

While you were not with us, you were not forgotten. Your picture from elementary school hangs on the front of the Christmas tree along with our law enforcement ornaments. Dad took your tree to the cemetery and then another one to the Hazel Park Fallen Heroes Memorial.

Robbie went to Midnight Mass with Manda, Dakota and I at St. Marks. It really brought back memories of years past. It was so nice having him join us this year. It’s been so hard in the past with him having to work midnights.

The girls had lots of presents to open for Christmas. Manda and Dakota stayed overnight so we got to watch her open her gifts from Santa. Katelyn, Payton and Sydney opened theirs last night. Auntie Donna, Jon, Chris, Emily and their kids came over to join all of us for breakfast. All and all, it was an enjoyable holiday.

Love and miss you,
Mom
