Shane,
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I miss you like crazy. It's important for me to have my boys know what kind of hero you are...as a police officer & a person. Love you and hope to see you again.

It seems just like yesterday when you would stop by to check on us before you would SO. I sure miss those times. I'm a little late but, Happy 37th.

Shane,

We got to be pretty good buds while attending SHSU. I'll never forget the day you didn't come to class. I've always kept you and your family in my prayers and I'll always remember talking with you about life and how much you enjoyed spending time with your wife and daughter.

Thanks for being a role model to all.

You and your family are still in our thoughts and prayers, Shane. I took my family to the LE Memorial in Austin for Easter Sunday to spend the day with you, J.C., Joe and all the other great officers that gave their all.

We'll never forget.

Exactly one week away from that horrible day, but have no doubt you are thought of all through the year! I just came here today because like I often do, I thought of you. I know you know that T and Alyssa are doing just fine. I'm sure you're watching over! I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. Watch over your mom, dad and brother! Always praying for the family! ALWAYS and FOREVER!

We always think of you. This time of year especially. You are missed so much. Alyssa is such a beautiful little lady. Like you in so many ways. She is being so well loved by her new dad. You would be proud. Her and T, as well as the rest of the family are doing great. You remain in their hearts and lives.

Shane,
I've thought about you every day since that tragic day. You were the sweetest, kindest, most loving person. I cherish the time that I knew you and the time I spent with you. Those special times remain in my heart and will forever. I know you're ok and we will see you again some day. I will continue to pray for your family - T and Alyssa! Keep shining down on us!

You probably wouldn't remember me now,but we were friends in high school (Spring High). After you joined the department, you used to come into the video store that I managed at the time.I find it hard to believe that it's been 6 years since I heard the news station announce that a Harris County officer had been killed. I turned to look at the t.v. and saw your face, and it completely knocked the wind out of me. I am certain that God has told you how proud of you He is. I am proud to have known you. I wish your family the best. I pray that over the years they have been able to find healing, comfort and joy again. I hope that your daughter is surrounded by people who have so many wonderful stories about her daddy that she will always know what a good guy her daddy was. (still, and always will be her daddy) Thank you for putting your life on the line every day so that Harris County could rest easier every night. Thanks is not enough, but then there are no words equal to the sacrifice that you made for all of us left behind.

On June 21, 2008, I had the privilege and honor to meet your father, mother, brother and a few other family members. I also have met your beautiful daughter on numerous occasions and upon seeing your picture, she looks just like you. I assure you that she is in good hands. You have a wonderful family and I hope I have the opportunity to visit with them again soon. May God bless you and your family.

It has been six years, but your memory lives on and hearts are mending, but will never be healed. Your family, friends, "brothers & sisters" in arms, and any and everyone ever connected to you or by you, will always hold your memory and your life dear to their hearts. Your sacrifice was not in vain. Thank you.

I have been thinking about you all day today.....you are certainly missed.

June 12, 2008

Hey Bud,

It's hard to believe it has been six years today since we got the call. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know you are still and always will be remembered on a daily basis. I don't hear much from the guys in the department anymore, but I do know that you are in their hearts.

Until next time,

Pop

Hey Bud,

Just returned from D.C. on Saturday. Another anniversary is quickly approaching. We honored Brian Evans this year and met with Trina & Tess. They are really special people. Brian is sorely missed by their family. No surprise, all of you guys have a way of making memories last forever. They added 181 names to the wall this year in memory of the downed officers for 2007. All tolled, 358 names were added including the historians addition.

Until next time; keep a second man slot open.

Shane,

Just passing through, reading and re-reading, and of course, reflecting.

We haven't forgotten, and we will not forget.

We miss you, brother, more than any words here can describe.

Almost a year ago my daughter Beaumont PD Officer Lisa Beaulieu was killed in the line of duty. As I was going through some of her things I found the service brochure from Sheriff Bennett's burial service. Lisa spoke of going to the service. I just wanted you to know that he was not forgotten by a fellow officer who has now joined him.

hey shane, it's trina. i know it has been years since we last saw one another. it was so devastating when we received the news about you. as you know i married my jr. high sweetheart and he was a police officer with the mansfield ohio(your old stomping grounds)police department. i saw that your dad told you what happened on 12/26/07 when he was taken from us. the pain of not having him here with us is gut-wrenching. i do not know what to do. i miss him so much i don't think i will ever stop crying. as you know we have a daughter that he he thinks the sun rises and sets on. please tell him to somehow let me know that he is alright and that we love him and miss him and just want him to come back home. please keep some love from us for yourself and know that you and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers.
