Reflections for Trooper First Class Jimmie Harold White, II

Being a motorman is what you loved. Unless you have been one, no one knows the feeling. Being involved in a crash in 1996, I was fortunate enough to continue, but not on what I loved to do...ride. You are on the ULTIMATE motor squad now. Rest easy Brother and watch over us. I will look forward to seeing your Ultimate motor wings. Until we meet...

Florida Highway Patrol

I never had the privledge to know Trooper White, however I think of you everyday and I pray for your family. I will never forget you or this tragedy. I was working the Law Enforcement desk on Little Rock A.F.B. and coordinated many of the efforts for your immediate assistance. As an officer I drive past your memorial daily and think about you and your family. You will be honored and remembered by every SP working the streets of the Air Base. I thank you for your ultimate sacrifice.

The United States Air Force put up a memorial to you on the LRAFB on 6/1/04 at the exact spot where you gave the ultimate sacrifice. We were all there, thinking of you and visiting with your family. We all still miss you very much.

Jimmie, you are still missed deeply. Your picture hangs in the Trooper room like you are watching over us. Teraysa is coping but still seems empty inside. We'll see you at home brother!

Myself and others feel bad about having a loss of a law enforcement officer on our base. The mourning wreaths still lay on the fence from that terrible day. We thank you for your service to our base, our state and our country. God speed.

I met Jimmie some years ago when he was over in Scotland. Both myself and my family got to know Jimmie and Theraysa over the years. Jimmie was a fine man and husband and I was proud to know him. He was proud to be a state trooper and he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Inspector Graham Shivas
Strathclyde Police

If there is nothing else that i have learned, it is that there is nothing that is routine. Rest well.

I have only known Trooper First Class Jimmie White for almost two years, and even though I wasn't as close to him as the other troopers, but I can honestly say that he was not only a co-worker, but a friend. I never saw him without a smile on his face, and he always went out of his way to help his fellow man. Trooper White was a dedicated person, who loved his job, coworkers, family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but I feel that in my heart, he is now "10-8" patrolling the streets of Heaven.
Our prayers are with the family and friends of Trooper White.

I was the Arkansas State Coordinator for the Drug Recognition Education (DRE)Program from 1998 to 2001. TFC Jimmy White was instrumental in instructing our DRE training and was considered by students and instructors alike, to be one of our most professional and beloved instructors. He has been called a "Gentle Giant" with the nicest smile. I am glad to have had the opportunity to know and work with Jimmy.
