Joe,

I can not help but write to you today. We all gathered on Friday in Newtown for Brian Gregg's funeral. It was really hard, however there is ever growing strength among us. I said a pray and hopefully you received the message. Take care of Brian, and continue to take care of us.

Joe was the epitomy of professional. He was a friend to many and would never hesitate to help someone in need. Even people he arrested knew him to be a kind person. I attended the academy with Joe. He was outgoing and was always there to help a fellow officer who struggled. In five years he accomplished so much, I will always miss him and never forget him.

To honor my nephew and my daughter's Godfather. May we never forget the great man that he was and the true strength and courage he had as an officer. A loving husband, true friend and an exemplary role of law enforcement. With my love to his wife (my niece) and his family, may you be proud as he is honored this Police Memorial Week and on the anniversary of his death. And, I'd like to thank the fellow Plumstead officers as well as all of the many officers in the surrounding counties, for their support and dedication to helping his wife and family through this tragic loss. Joe committed the ultimate sacrafice. May his memory live on in all of us. God Bless and may he rest in peace!

Joe,
It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since you left us. We all still smile and cry whenever we talk about you and all the things you had done. They say that it gets easier with time, but I still find myself thinking that this is all just a bad dream and sooner or later I will wake up. We all miss you deeply and will always think of you with love.

Dear Joe,

You have touched all of us in a special way. There will be a lasting smile forever engraved on our faces. Have no fear, we will continue to take care of you in our hearts and your family on this earth.

Much Love and God Bless You

Plumstead

Joe, as I look at the reflections that are being left for you both joy and sadness fill my heart. The joy comes from the fact that you have touched so many people throughout your life and career. The sadness comes from knowing that you will be unable to continue in your life's calling. I remember talking to you about police work when you were considering joining the Plumstead Police Dept. I remember your excitement when you were in the academy. But most of all I remember a loving husband and a good friend. I am a better person for knowing you. I will always remember how you served the Commonwealth with pride. Rest in peace my brother, we will all miss you dearley.

When hell's doors open, even just a bit.
Evil is sure to rear its ugly head.
The mighty God commands those to close it.
Thus sacrifice is surrendered.
And a Hero, adored by the heavens, is born.

I remember fondly the days when you were brand new to the uniform and to Plumstead...it was always nice to see a friendly face on scene willing to lend a hand. It saddens me to learn of your untimely passing, but I consider myself blessed for the few moments I was able to know you. May you watch over us all, patrolling forever on the wings of angels.
