Dear Deputy March's wife. I met you in Chili's restaurant after you saw my truck with an EOW 57 sticker on the back window as I was parking. I met your daughter also. What an honor for me. There are so many families who have paid and are paying the ultimate price so that our families can live in safety and comfort.
I thank you! I honor you! I will never forget! I will continue to teach my children and all those around me of the sacrifice that is being made, each day, by all the officers who serve us every day! We Love you!!!

I did not know you personally but I remember that day well. I will always remember s statement you made. ""My goals are simple, I will be painfully honest, work as hard as I can, learn as much as I can, and hopefully make a difference in people's lives." You may never know just how much impact you had but remembering those words has made me a better Volunteer. Thank you for your dedication to your job and the citizens you protected.

I did not know you but you ended your watch on the same day I started mine 10 years ago. I remembered my fist day on the job and then hearing about this horrible day for LASO. Thank you for your service.

WOW, 10 years!!! Thank you Dave, for demonstrating love and sharing your faith with me often. I have peace that you reside in the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven. I now share the same faith, and know I will one day be with you again. I now have a personal relationship with Christ. Thank you for loving us, and loving your job. You rocked my world. I miss you always, and for all the sweet ways you made a finger print on so many things. Thank you for giving me a life time of joy. I will always love you. Your quote will be with me forever, "My goals are simple, I will be painfully honest, work as hard as I can, learn as much as I can, and hopefully make a difference in people's lives." (Written 9 days before he was killed) You did make a BIG difference, and thank you for leaving us these words to live by. xoxo

Your heroism and service is honored today, the tenth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for aolace for all that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Tomorrow will be 10 years since you left us all. I will go to your memorial for the last time as I am moving to Ohio and will not get this way again. Thank you for being the wonderful Sheriff you were. You would come and talk to my preschool children and showed them that Sheriff's were the "good guys". I am thrilled to say my son, Frank Masters is working for Temple City Sheriff's now. He was an Explorer and then took a position with them. Hopefully he will go on to become a Sheriff. You were a wonderful influence to many. You will never be forgotten. Rest in the arms of Jesus my friend.

When we worked together at Creative Presentations you had spoken often about your dream to become a law enforcement officer. I was happy for you when you attained your dream.

Ken and I often return to California and drive by the memorial section at the 210 and 605 that bears your name.

You were a good man and you did not deserve for this to happen to you.

When I think of you I always smile.

Sir, I pass by your memorial section of the 210 and 605 freeway on a constant basis. I watched The Academy where they recognized you in their colors run. I share your unfortunate story with several people so that they realize the seriousness of this line of work. It's an eye opener. I just hope some day that I can be a hard working deputy like you were. Thank you sir.

My husband and I were just in Havasu at Heather and Tom's house. We were sitting around talking about you....remembering the night before they got married and all of us having a great time at the beach. The day you were killed and the relentless battle your wife and family fought to bring your killer to justice. Tom misses you so much...the look in his eyes when he talks about you....well, it says it all. Watch over all of us while we continue your work on these violent streets......

Hi David,

Well, it's been eight years since I've heard you say to me: Hi, Mr. T. You were my son's (Randy) Best Man and companion. I know you're looking down at all of us fragile folks and pray for us. I miss our talks about your pepper trees and fishing trips. I look forward to seeing you again. Love, Dave, Irene, and Randy.

This tragic day will forever be engraved in my memory. On my way home,I recall driving upon this devastating event. Everyday that my husband walks out the door,I pray he comes home. I reflect on Deputy March, and that heartbreaking, senseless, taking of his life. When I hear the garage door open, I thank God for giving another day with my husband and beg for more.
