Dearest Jimmy, not day goes by that I can't stop thinking of you. I miss you so much . And one day again I know we will be together again. But not at this time. YOU, know I go to your grave often to remind you of my love for you. And to tell you our family has fell apart since your death. For all that reads this make sure you have a will or something in writting or you could be violated as Jimmy was. Make sure if you remarry change all your legal documents. Jimmy made that mistake and others took. They are to answer the lord, untill then I pray for all in the lilne of duty. May God bless you all, in Jesus name I pray. cissyisit@yahoo,com

i had the priviledge of attending the police academy with jimmy at swapa, ozark....i once brought it to his attention something he already knew....he was a ringer for randy travis look-a-like. some of us asked him if he shared the singing voice as well.....thinking back now i don't recall if he ever said one way or the other. we had not seen each other since the academy and his sacrifice in the line will always be remembered. my blessings to the family for now and the empty years to come.

Uncle Jimmy was a man of honor and love! He is missed dearly and is forever in my heart as well as everyone who knew him, or even knew of him. Even though I miss him I know he is in a better place. I just wish I could have said good-bye.

I met Jimmy when he came to Cullman county and worked with my father who was also a game warden. He was the funniest and nicest person I'd ever met. I remember once he came to the house and my mother had fixed sloppy joes. She offered him some, but he said, "I just ate Mrs. Raley." He then proceeded to the kitchen and said, "well maybe just a couple won't hurt." I laugh so hard to this day when I think about that. He also ate almost a whole pan of brownies later that evening. He is truely missed by my family.

While browsing through the ODMP I found your memorial. The third year anniversary of your death is only a month away. I am sure you are missed as much now as when the tragedy first happened. God's peace be with you; rest in heavenly peace.

I grew up and rode the bus with Jimmy and his brother and sister to school all of our life. We both grew up in the country outside of Enterprise, Al. . I was proud and honored to see Jimmy at our 10 year Enterprise High School reunion. I had not seen him for a while because I had went to college in Tennessee and I had lost touch with some of my old friends. I remember having a couple drinks that night, as most people do at their reunion. I was getting ready to drive home for the night and I run across Jimmy in the parking lot, and I said Jimmy, Can I get a free get out of jail card tonight since its our reunion, and we had a big laugh about that. Thats how I will always remember Jimmy, with a smile on his face. And of course, Jimmy never promised the get of jail card that I had asked for because he was very serious about law enforcement and the ultimate professional. I am very proud of Jimmy and all of the accomplishments he made in his life. I wish everyone in your family the best, I know they miss you dearly.

I only met officer Hutto once about 5 years ago, and thats when he came to my aid in the edge of Walker/Fayette county when I was getting my butt kicked by 4 suspects, and brother, I was glad to see him. I belive he prevented a rookie deputy from more damage than was done. I will never forget that moment and thanks, one last time.

My Beloved Brother, I'll forever miss you! Your memories keeps me going. I always looked up to you as my oldest brother. I'm thankful to have had a brother like you as well as a freind. We had our ups and downs. But we always let the other know that we still loved one another. I was so proud of all that you did and served. Losing you has beng the biggest challenge of my life. Without you it isn't the same, nor will it ever be. You wre our rock in the family. As the four of us (me, you, Tim & Joe) were growing up we shared alot. That Jimmy no one can ever take away. I Love you so much an not a day goes by I don't think about you. I keep your memory alive speaking of you and looking over pictures. Or speaking silently to you. You were at God' speed.
I want to thank every one for the support to the family. Jimmy would be proud of all that you have done.

All my love forever, your sister " Cissy" and daughters (Brittany & Megan)

It is your year anniversary and I'm sure to those who knew you, it
seems like yesterday when you were taken. May God continue to be
with all those who mourn and may He replace that void with bittersweet
memories of you. We remember your distinguished career and your
unforgettable sacrifice. Thank you.

I consider myself lucky for having worked with Jimmy for 7 yrs at the Enterprise Police Dept. He was always willing to answer calls, no matter what the danger. The energy and enthusiasm he held for his job was contagious to those around him. With this, we have to believe that he left us doing what he loved. We miss you Jimmy!
