Reflections for Police Officer Jack David Cooper

A Good Man who stood for what is good in life. We will all miss you and know you did all you could to make this world a better place. God bless you and your family.

LR Guard

Jack,

We all miss you so. You of all people know that February was not this Departments best month, in fact it's been our worst. We will never forget your laugh, your smiling face when we came into the lodge, or the way you tried to help us all. You made the ultimate sacrifice and I'm sorry, sorry I wasn't there and you were. We love You Jack. You'll always be on our minds and in our hearts.

It is special men like your loved one that make The United States of America truely great.

May the God of all comfort place his tent over you. Please remember to throw all your burdens upon the Lord and he will sustain you. PS.55-22

After Cain had slain Able, the Holy Father asked Cain where his brother was. Cain answered the question with another question. “Am I my brother’s keeper?” God is prominent in his silence,
but all throughout the bible, old and new testaments the answer to Cain’s question is a resounding YES!
A Police Officer is a very special person. A Police Officer Steps forward off the line and lets the world know that yes, I am my brothers keeper. In times of need, in times of danger, and in times of dread the police are there to serve and protect us.
To all fallen officers and their family’s:
Thank you so very much for your sacrifice.
Thank you for being my keeper.

i just want to say i am so sorry about your grief that you must feel about this death. it is so very sad. god bless you

" I think now looking back, that we are not fighting an enemy. Sometimes we are fighting ourselves and the enemy is within us. Make yourself no mistake; give all to your brothers in blue. Never let their badge go tarnished only because, Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. When we meet again brothers, then we will smile, if not then we know that this party was well formed"!

This is what I said when my partners was slain. I hurt every time a brother in blue leaves us for any reason. Please pray for their families and make sure the babies, and wives of our brothers survive.

With the deepest sorrow and the never forgotten honor,

Detective Matthew Heckman
New Bern Police Department

I offer my prayers to the family. Such senseless crimes are first judged by man, and then punished by God. It is in His hands where I find my comfort.

To the family of Officer Jack Cooper and his fellow officers in the Little Rock Police Department: Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this terrible time. It will be one year on Feb. 19th that we lost our Officer Dick Vauris in almost the identical type situation. I don't think a day has gone by that I haven't thought about Dick as I am sure all of you will never forget Jack. May God bless and keep us all.
