Marshal Lee was my Great Grand father. He was killed in the line of duty arresting 2 bootlegs. The 2 criminals were killed later that day in a corn field by towns people Mr Delord ot C.L.E.A.T located his grave and news paper accounts and I am very greatful to him for all his help.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Marshal Lee was, and is, an American hero. He chose this honorable profession before radios, body armor, and back-up officers were readily available. More than likely, he became a peace officer based on a personal calling, a desire to protect those who could not protect themselves.

Those of us who eventually followed him into law enforcement have great respect for him and great sadness for the sacrifice he made.

In Matthew 5:9 Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." That's the ultimate rank in my mind.

Jesus said it and that's good enough for me. I know where Marshal Lee is and I'm confident it is a far better place than any of us can imagine.

I have read the news paper acounts thanks to Ron Delord of C.L.E.A.T.
He was killed in the line of duty by 2 bootlegars who later the same day were killed by the town's people.
He was a young man in his late thirty's and left behind a wife Molly Stevens Lee and doughter Clara Lee.
Rest in Peace.
