Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Patrolman Ramon Robert Solis

We worked together nearly every day. We had a lot of fun and told a lot of jokes. We miss you.

Patrolman Levi Moody
NMDPS/MTD

I was one of Officer Solis' Duty Sergeants in recruit school. In the week we spent together, I got to know him and realized he was going to become a fine officer. A few days before this tragic event I spoke with Robert about his Harley he was riding that day. He stopped by the office and we spoke about the job. It was refereshing to hear his enthusiasm and excitement about what he was doing.

He will be missed.

Lieutenant Pete Kassetas
New Mexico State Police

My prayers are with the Solis family at this time...As state troopers in this country, it saddens me that when we lose a state trooper, we lose a part of a family..May God bless you at this time of sorrow...

Trooper Eric White
Utah Highway Patrol

All of us within the Chaves County Sheriff's Department wish to express our condolences and deepest sympathy in the death of Patrolman Ramon Robert Solis.

Whether it is in the line of duty or from other causes, the death of an officer, friend and loved one is not easy to accept. I hope that knowing that your department and the family of your officer will be remembered in our prayers will be of some comfort in the days to follow.

It is always hard to loose officers. This is so tragic because these two young officers were just beginning their careers. My thoughts and prayers are with these two officers.
