I carried your name and photo around my neck for the 2022 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Hoover Alabama today. Afterwards, I researched your service and actions from that tragic day. Your life and story hit home for me and was without a doubt a true honor to complete the climb in your memory. I am holding your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Clint in 1982 while stationed in Austin Texas. We were close in rank which put us together in a lot of situations. He used to call himself Dazzy D. He was my best friend. Clint left the military to go back home and join the Port Authority. Hell we were kids when we were stationed together. I thought the port authority has something to do with working on the docks. As with all things military, I moved around the world and thought Clint was have a fine life. It wasn't until a year or so ago that I found memorial while searching for him. Thought I could show up on his doorstep and give him some crap about being old. I will miss you my brother in arms. So, here's to you Clint from the 67th Security Police Squadron, A Flight. We love and miss you.

I did not know Officer Davis, but have continued to remember him and his sacrifice. I pray for that his family knows that, 15 years later, his sacrifice has not been forgotten. May God bless and comfort those who knew him and loved him. I hope his children know the heroism of their father will never be forgotten.

To the family, friends, and fellow police officers of Officer Clinton Davis:
I extend my deepest sympathy to you. Officer Davis, along with the other officers, firemen and EMS personnel lost their lives on 9/11 while trying to save lives. Their act of bravery and sacrifice will always be remembered by people in the USA and around the world.
I wasn't able to do much, but I thank God that I was able to raise money for Officer Clinton Davis's family to send them to Great Adventure Park for one day. That was the least that I could do for his family. I spoke to his sister Caroline Winston Davis via phone, but I never met them in person. I would love to meet them some day. My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Davis's family, friends, and fellow police officers. God bless you!
I am the founder of a group that goes out to nursing homes, homeless missions and hospitals to visit and give hugs and stuffed animals to the sick, handicapped, homeless, and elderly at the facilities. My group is called the Angels of Mercy. My mission is to continue reaching out to the elderly, sick, handicapped, homeless and to spread the message of peace and love in the USA.

To the Davis family,
I did not know your father. However, my husband and I began fostering a lab puppy back in March for the Transportation Security Administration. The dogs born into the program are fostered out to families to raise and socialize for the first year. After that the dogs will begin training to become bomb dogs to work at airports. Every dog born into the program is named for someone who died on 9/11. Our dog's name is Clinton Davis, but he goes by Davis.
I was curious to know what kind of man Mr. Davis was so I decided to look him up. It is evident that he was a valiant and heroic man. When I saw that he was an officer and paid his life to save others I thought it was absolutely fitting that our dog be named after him. He, too, will hopefully be saving lives soon. Davis is beautiful, intelligent, loyal, hilarious, and strong. I just wanted your family to know that your father is remembered. I hope our Davis makes your family proud.

Dear Clinton:
My reflection to you is long overdue, but nonetheless, I made a promise to each of you to have your own reflection from me, so here, sir, is the recognition I give to you;
America's first and last line of defense is her police officers. Anyone who doubts that, is a damn fool. Your dedication and sacrifice is to be remembered for all time, as we, your brother officers, will not accept anything less. Some say that the death of so many officers is a tragedy in of itself. Some Americans say that the carnage of 11 September 2001 taught us a nation, to open our eyes to the very real threat of death and mayhem by a group of sick fanatics. While that is all true, the larger event of that horrible day, is that in exchange for your life and that of all the rest, 25,000 innocent people were spared. In every horrible event, there is always a hero who comes out of nowhere to do the impossible. That hero, Clinton, is you. You were that bright sun of life bursting through the black clouds of death that day.
But my words of gratitude and pride in your behavior and sacrifice, is only words. The real reflection is that EVERY American, every peace loving person in the world, remember ALWAYS, what you did. I pray that those folks who were spared, now EARN, everyday, what you and all our fallen officers gave them...life. Earn it by doing something constructive, by helping to keep America safe and strong.
Rest in peace brother, our sacred blue line has held. May Almighty God hold you close to Him, and grant your family peace and comfort. We will forever be your debt. God Bless you, your family, our police officers, and God Bless America. Amen
