Reflections for Senior Trooper Maria Mignano

God bless you, may you rest in peace. Your family will be in my prayers.

To the friends and family of Maria,

I am sure you lost more than you could ever explain to anyone who didn't know Maria. I never had the privilege of meeting her, but in June I lost a man who was my all, Cpl. Joey Cushman of the Arlington PD in Texas. I know that all police are the best people walking on this planet and the entire nation has to cry when we lose one of them. They go out there every day not knowing if they'll come back or not, and they do so willingly. They die for people they've never met. Maria was taken before her time, and I remember the first few days after I found out about Joey. It was like someone was beating me again and again and again. It's a long road and I am so, so sorry you have to suffer these undeserved consequences. However, I am sure that Maria brought much light to all of your lives and she will continue to do so. You're in my prayers, God Bless

Casey
