Ofcr. Susan Harmison
Tampa PD Tampa,Fl

I didn't ever get to meet you even though were only 100 miles apart, I feel I have lost a member of my family because you were part of that special family "COPS", I will be attending your funeral and once again say to myself this is going to be the last policemans funeral I go to, The senseless waste over a traffic ticket!?!. God will deal with the suspect, and for you, I will someday meet you and shake your hand to thank you for doing the job. God bless you your family and co-workers. Pap

To the friends and family of Officer McDowell, and Officers of the Whitehall PD, please accept our heartfelt anguish for your loss. Officer McDowell had the same amount of time on as I, and the senseless violence of his death is sobering to us all. We all know the dangers of this job, and recently it seems to be getting worse...Our prayer is that Officer McDowell might be the last to be added to this tragic list. May God pour out His comfort upon Officer McDowell's family in this time of tremendous loss. I'm so very sorry..........

Patrol Sergeant J. Stevenson
Ft. McDowell Tribal Police Dept. Ft. McDowell, AZ.

I am extremely saddened by this sensless killing of a brother in law enforcement. I grieve for the family and children of Officer McDowell, as well as his brothers on Whitehall P.D. How can somthing as simple as issuing a traffic citation turn so tragic so quickly. May you rest in peace now brother and may your family and co-workers find the strength to get through this terrible time. I also pray that officer Brill recovers from this incident as quickly as possible. My thoughts are with you.

P.O Matt Harris

God bless you and comfort your family in this sorrowful time. Prayers for a speedy recovery go out to the other officer as well.

Another senseless loss. Rest in Peace, brother, and thanks for your service.

What a tragedy for these officers and their families. A coward not wishing to receive a traffic citation like a man turns to violence for something he initiated. My deepest condolences to Officer McDowell's family, friends and colleagues. The tears of a nation fall from the heavens. Godspeed Terry.
