I miss you Joe. Thank you for always letting me know you cared about me!! I think about you so much. I still have the car you and Cyd gave me, and always will =)I work close to where your life was taken and it affects me everyday. I talk to many cops daily and they alwyas remind me of you. I see a cop car and I look to see if it is you or your other two brothers who are cops as well. Thank you for always listening to me, and for helping me grow up. I have many memories stashed away in my heart from my childhood that I will always hold near and dear. At least I know you're in a better place, but it hasn't seemed to take away the pain. Things will never be the same without you. So much has already changed. I no longer have a brother. Thanks for looking out for me, and for watching me from up above. I love you. Oh, and just so you know, I always have a seat saved for you in my car whenever I listen to Metallica; it reminds me of the times you would take me on errands with you when I was a little girl... All my love.

Five years have passed since Joe's life was taken. There have been many changes in our lives since that day. A special place in our hearts will always feel a loss at Joe's absence. He was and is so very special to us. We reflect daily all that he has left for us to remember and be grateful for. He will truly never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched. As a family, we express our sincere appreciation for those who serve and protect all of us.

Joe,

5 years. I've been thinking a lot about you these past few weeks. I can't believe that it has been that long. I miss our friendship more and more as time passes.
I finally had a chance to read your book to my youngest daugher. You continue to leave a marvelous impression on those who come to know you, and your story. I look forward to the day that we see each other again. God speed Brother.

Know that you are thought of often and that you continue to inspire us.

God speed brother.

I was deeply moved by the mention of Officer Adams in a UVSC class. It touched my heart as we watched video of his funeral and saw how much this community cares. May God bless this man, his family, and all those that knew him. I am truly grateful for his sacrifice.

I had been living in Utah for 5 years when this tragedy took place. I never met Officer Adams, but the courageous actions he displayed, and his ultimate sacrifice left an imprint me. He truly is a hero. May his son grow up and become a noble man like his father. Because of Officer Adams inspiration, I returned to my native California and eventually became a police officer, then investigator, myself. God bless him.

We live in a great land because a lot of brothers and sisters in uniforms of different colors and services paid a tremendous sacrifice. May the high cost of their sacrifice not be in vain nor ever forgotten. I miss you Joe, I am thankful to have worked with you but even more blessed to be able to call you a friend. You will never be forgotten by me or my family.
