Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Jason Patrick Lopez

FATTY,
EVEN THOUGH YOUR GONE, I STILL HAVE ALL OF OUR MEMORIES FROM OUR CHILDHOOD, AND THOSE ARE MINE FOREVER. I MISS YOU, AND THINK OF YOU DAILY.
LOVE,
HASH

HASH

Jay-

It has been over a month that you have been gone it still hurts that your not here. But, I know that you are in good hands with GOD my pain is still hard and I know it will heal. I cherish the good times that we had together and laughed about those rough and hilarious games we had at the Slam Court. Your memories will always live in my heart.
Thanks Jay for being a good friend and a special person.

Love and Miss you,
Manny "Jar-head" Celaya

Fatboy, I miss you so much!
Jay was always so good to me. I could call him anytime for advice about anything. When it was about his brother (my sons father), I usually didn't agree with his advice ...ha,ha,ha, but because Jay is such a great, caring, and yes loving person he always believed in his brother(s). He helped me keep my head up when I was feeling down, and through a tough relationship he really was my HERO, he always walked in just when I needed him. He has helped me with my 4yr old son, his nephew, both financially and physically from the day he was born. Jay, just as you took care of yours(you know what I mean),and began to raise your own, and for all the help you have given to me and Marcos, I promise to always be there to help Corina, my Godson Cristian, and little michael, through their journey of life. And yes the Mono Brothers are here all over again **Patos**Chubba**little Michael**. You are our Gaurdian Angel and HERO now and forever. We love you and miss you, and pray with you everynight.
Love always,

Tatianna Murrieta and Marcos Lopez

Jay,

I will always remember your smile, jokes but most of all how you grew up into the fine young man you were. You were a good friend to my son in good times and bad and this is something Hash will never forget. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I met Deputy Lopez through my husband Sgt. L. Ibarra, Pinal County S.O. a few times. I used to hear Deputy Lopez on the scanner and could tell he loved his job, he was not one to just sit and wait for traffic to happen. My heart goes out to Jasons wife and children and his dad Mike and step-mom Debbie (whom I have worked with). I know God above is watching over Jasons loved ones here below and they will survive.

Thank you for your site to our fallen officers. We must never forget them.

IF ONE CAN MEASURE THE TRUE WORTH OF AN INDIVIDUAL BY THE LEGACY THAT IS LEFT BEHIND, THEN JASON A YOUNG MAN, HAS INDEED LEFT A GREAT LEGACY. HE HAS TOUCHED THE LIVES OF MANY THROUGH THIS GROUP THE WORLD OVER. I'LL MISS YOU MY BEAUTIFUL NEPHEW, REST IN PEACE.

I grew to appreciate Jasons strength and grace and ability to see through our day to day difficulties, to what was important to life. I admired the techniques he had developed to interact with his children, and I cherished his willingness to reach out to others who hurt. He was often a voice of sweet reason in the crowd.

Your True Friend,

On May 4, 2001 the world lost a young vibrant caring soul, my son Jason Patrick Lopez; an exceptional man, deputy, husband, father, brother & friend. Jason always was helping the weak, looked out for the disadvantaged, remembered the forgotten, & helped anyone & everyone that crossed his path. His spirit, courage & unbridled determination that he left for all of us will be missed. I could write pages & pages of tribute to Jason & about Jason, but there will never be a day that goes by that something happens, that reminds me of him, but with all the words I could write, this poem sent to me by a friend is much more better than I could ever do. That's "Safely Home". We will never forget you Jay, we love you! Your brothers, your little wonderful beautiful family you left to love like I love you mijo. Rest in Peace, you are truly safely home! Jay 10-7, 10-42.

Love you "MOM"

Jay, not a day goes by that I don't think of you, I believe in my heart that you watched over me the day you were taken from us. I believe as do many that you died so that one of us would live. I know how excellent a Deputy you were, I know you had courage, compassion and abilites that just aren't found in many new officers these days, I am very proud to of served with you. I believe the Lord had other work for you to do in a better place. I often think to my self how fortunate I was to of been removed from the Task Force, if I had not of been removed, I would never of had the last few months with you. I find strength knowing that we will see each other again. I love you, your Law Enforcent brother. Bravo 588

Jason,

It's been a couple of weeks now since you left us. I miss hearing you on the radio and working beside you as I did from time to time. I will not forget the time we shared together both at work and away from work. You will be missed by all of us and never forgotten, even as time passes. Please watch over us as we continue god's work here on earth as I know you will be right beside all of us throughout our tour of duties.

I would like to thank everyone for all the help and support through this rough chapter of our lives. A special thanks to Sheriff Vanderpool. Where on earth do you hide your wings? Pinal Co. Sheriffs Department, all Law Enforcements of our state and out of state and everyone who is thinking of us through these hard times. With your help I'm proud to say Jay will never be forgotten and our boys will be proud to know they have a special father! All of you hold a special place in my heart. Words just can't express how greatful I am. Thank you!!

Corina Nido Lopez

A very special thank you to Jay (My Love)for every special day we had together. Every dream we ever dreamed of together, every I love you whispered to one another. I promise our dreams will one day come true! Our dream home will be built, our dream truck will be raised up high. I pray everyday that our Lord will give me what I need to raise and teach our sons well, just like we wanted. Then I'll be waiting, waiting for you so once again we can finish our dream of being together forever. So save me a special place right next to you, because years spent down here won't compare to all eternity we will spend together. I love & miss you more than you can ever imagine. See you again & I promise this time it will be forever!

Yours Truly,
Your wife Cori.

May God Bless the Lopez Family as they go through this horrific ordeal. Jason, I did not know you personally, but I knew your voice and badge on the radio. I want to say that God has a plan for everyone and now you are the guardian angel for your family and friends. May you look upon them forever. God Bless you

Jay I have known you for a long time but not well, I have known your dad and your stepmother for a long time. From listening to your friends you are just like your dad. Mike always was harassing someone, but like you he would do anything for anyone. You are special and a piece of law enforcment is missing without you. Watch over your family and friends and keep them safe. God bless Ex- Alpha 148

First I'd like to thank our Heavenly Father for giving my sister the strength and courage she has needed to endure such pain in the passing of her husband, best friend, lover, companion, her king JASON PATRICK LOPEZ. To see her life being shattered was and still is the hardest thing I've had to do. If I could just bring Jay back, I'd tell myself over and over again! Time will help us to face the pain. If you fall I'll catch you again! Jay's love and pride will always shine from you and your sons Jason Cristian and Michael Julian. I'm so proud and love you Jason! Thank you so very much for all the happiness and love you gave Corina and the boys! MISSING YOU! MISSING YOU!MISSING YOU! WITH LOVE YOUR SIS BERTHA NIDO DUARTE #791-PCSO

JAY,

WHAT TO SAY. THERE IS NOT A DAY THAT GOES BY THAT I DONT
THINK ABOUT YOU. ALL OF THE TIMES THAT YOU HELPED ME ON CALLS AND ALL OF THE TIMES THAT YOU BOUGHT ME LUNCH WHEN I DID NOT HAVE ANY CASH!! PATROL IS NOT THE SAME WITH OUT HEARING YOU ON THE RADIO, HARRASSING DEBBIE AND BERNADETTE, OR WHO EVER HAPPENED TO BE ON THE RADIO AT THE TIME. WE ALL MISS YOU BROTHER, WATCH MY BACK FOR ME AND REST WELL. YOU ARE A HERO.

DEPUTY SHERIFF JUSTIN AKIN# 734
PINAL COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT DISTRICT# 1

Some people live their whole life and never figure out what they want to do, but Jason knew he wanted to make a difference, and to follow in the foot steps of his father, and become a Pinal County Deputy. Jason did not die in vain, Jason died a hero, after being shot Jason returned fire with his assailant and directed innocent bystanders out of danger.
But is is not how Jason died that made him a hero, it is how he lived his life, how he served his community, and how he loved his family.
While Jason's badge no longer shines upon the streets of Pinal County, God has added another star to the eveing sky, and the streets of heaven are patrolled by a outstanding young peace officer. Jay, you will never be forgotten.

Another brother is lost...sleep well brother, you fought the good fight. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten!

Jason,

What to say?! You touched the hearts of so many of us. I still can't believe that you've been taken from us. We are still expecting you to check 10-08, and every time we Code-20 the Bravo & Charlie Boys we are still expecting you to answer for all of them. Everytime we pick up the phone we are still waiting for the daily harassment by Jay! And Debbie is wishing she could still hear the most annying sound in the world...which is **CLICK**!

May you rest in peace Jay. We miss you and love you. We pray nothing but the best for Corina and your sons. Also, we pray for Your parents and brothers. Our hero, Jay.

Love Always,

Jay,
I wish you were here to read this. I'm very thankful that I got to know you as well as I did. You cracked me up and made me laugh so much. I miss that little smirk you gave after saying something sarcastic to me or bringing up something from my past. There is no one else like you in this world. You are deeply missed and I continue to pray for the strength Corina needs to raise your two beautiful boys. I believe that you will forever be by her side. God Bless You.

Loresa M. Lucero (#582)

I do miss you Jason. You are a wonderful person. I do believe, with all of my heart, that everything happens for a reason. You must have bigger plans. I do have to be selfishly honest and admit that I am glad it was my airtime. I am grateful for the one last moment of you I was given. I was able to talk to you one last time, even though it was doing my job as a dispatcher. I would not have had it any other way. I will never forget you or my memories of you. LOTS OF LOVE to you and your family.

Comm. Spec. Angelique Graham
Pinal County Sheriff's Office

JAY,

I WILL FIRST START BY SAYING THAT WE ARE REALLY MISSING YOU. JUST THE OTHER DAY I WAS SITTING OUTSIDE MY HOUSE AND I KEPT THINKING ABOUT ALL THE FUN WE HAD AS KIDS GROWING UP, JAY WAS ALWAYS SAYING SOMETHING CRAZY, MAKING EVERYONE LAUGH. THIS IS HOW I WILL REMEMBER JAY AND NOT A DAY WILL GO BY THAT I WON'T MISS HIM, AND HIS WONDERFUL PERSONALITY EVERYONE LOVED. SO NOT ONLY AS A FELLOW OFFICER, BUT AS A FRIEND REST IN PEACE OUR HERO AND MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ME A PLACE IN PARADISE RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. ALWAYS IN MY THOUGHTS.
