J.
It's been a while since I came to visit you. With your birthday coming up, I want to tell you that I have been offering my prayers for you. You will always remain "Forever Young" and here we keep getting older and older! Yes Dogg, I am older. :) hee hee.

Talked to your Dad the other day. He sounds the same. I miss living in Flo town, but I've adjusted to the quiet life here in Kearny. Danny is a Daddy to a 4 month baby boy. All is well, and I know that Your "Christmas in Heaven" will be very spiritual. Just cool the wings for a tinch so the wind will die down! :)
Love You.

Jay,

Sorry it took so long, just found the page. dude i talk about you all all the time to my fellow roadrunners. You are such a hero to me. Remember the time you brought Mr Graves into the jail and Hunter made you get him checked out at the hospital and made me go with you.. I remember argueing with you on who was going to go into the bathroom with him for the urine test. I lost, after all i was just a jailer.. Well dude i still have the handcuff key you gave me that night... Keep an eye on us while were out there bro.. i miss you man.. oh yeah.. I code-20 your 42 every night man. god bless.

It has been 5 years since you were called away and I know the pain is still present in the hearts of your loved ones and will there for as long as they walk this earth. I know their pain and all they can do is like I do, take one day at a time. You are a true hero and will never be forgotten. Keep watch over your loved ones, protect them and wrap your wings around them and help them with their grief. Keep watch over those still out on patrol keeping watch over the Thin Blue Line. You will not be forgotten as heroes never die.

Hey Jay,
We missed seeing you at our 10yr reunion but we know you were there. You are still the last person to beat me arm wrestling. You will never be forgotten. Everytime I hear LSOB the old days come back to me. Someday we'll meet up again, until then...

Jason:
Its's been 5 yrs. since you left us, all. And while we know WELL that you are enjoying the presence of the Lord, family, and friends. We Miss you more than words can say. Your warm smile and winsome ways have left a void in our hearts that only Heaven's promised reunion will fill. (one of your favorite verses was Proverbs 22:1 A good name is more desirable than great riches to be esteemed is better, than Silver and Gold".) You were Proud to be a "LOPEZ". You were a good Son-Brother-Husband Father and Friend, we'll cherish OUR memories of you forever! Until then...I Love and Miss you Deeply. I haven't been hear in a long time, but I think about you often. I been with Gilbert PD for 3 1/2 yrs now and we just had an officer killed in the line of duty 4/30. It has brought back memories of when we lost you. I don't see anyone from back in the day, but I know we all still misses you very much. I hope that your family is still doing well and we'll never forget you.

Brother Lopez,

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

J,
Just letting you know that you are in my thoughts & prayers. Still living in Kearny, but I often think of when you were a kid and came with Mono and Lou down to Riverside. You were a terror then, but you matured into a great young man. Take care of my Alyssa up there. She was so young to go.

Hey Jay , I needed to write a few lines just to say hello. many nights go by when I park my unit out in the desert and just look up to the sky and ask myself , which star are you behind.I do this alot , but I figured it's about time I put it in words. I do miss you and the times we had. I think of the time when you started down in bravo and I would show up on your calls from charlie just to make sure you did'nt need anything or that you were okay. this was common practice between both of us as well with our other friends. I named one of my boxers after you , knowing you always wanted one of my dogs. as you know you are very much missed and everyone who knows you has their own stories to tell, much are the same. we will meet again , and we will patrol the streets of heaven as i am sure you are doing right now.

Hey fatty! We all miss you so much. I justed wanted to take the time to thank you for being with us last week. I have always told Marcos that you are our Gaurdian Angel and Hero and he agrees. I know that without you, who knows what would have happened to Marcos or the rest of us in the accident. He took the entire hit, but yet was so brave through the whole thing. Thank you Jay for the pleasure of having you as my brother and Angel.

I was just thinking about you the other day and found my self still shocked. I keep remenbering how our whole family used to do easter at the picacho lake mud hole. (and for those who know where this is dont laugh you know you were there too) but i keep reflecting about them times because back then this world was not so ugly!!! or maybe we were to young to know any better. We have familys now and we must take care of our kids etc, but i just wish we were all that close still so our kids can grow up how we did. I know that we all love and care for one another but we are always so busy running around we sometimes lose sight of what is really important, Our FAMILY. Jay since you been gone i miss all the times we used to cruise together bump to 2 short and cumbia to Selena!! who buy the way is probably dancing with you now (LUCCCCKKKYYY)but i just want you to know that we all love you dearly. We all miss you dearly as well. Now that you have PEPE up there with you probably making you food and drinking coffee together watching out for all of us I know you are OK. Corrina is a Beautiful wonderfull Mom to Chubba and Micheal and I know her love for you is as much as any could be.I guess what im trying to say is that alls well and hopefully we will be the family that we were when we were kids. Talk to you later and God Bless You!!!!

I was so blessed the day you were born. Each morning when I wake up I know that you are gone, and no one knows the heartache as I try to carry on. My heart still aches with sadness and sweet tears still flow. What it means to lose you No one will ever No. You will Always be a Loving Son-Bro-Husband-Father, dedicated and caring. The Lord has blessed us with 2 grandsons. As I have seen each of them their traits and characteristics put together an-embodiment of you, full of love, to cute!. Jay, you are a friend with a sharp wit you made others laugh, you were loyal to many and showed honesty to your actions. I can see this threw this Web-Site. I Thank All Of You in Law Enforcement for Remembering "JAY" what an Honor to be Missed and Loved so much. You have set a wonderful example for all of us and a life time of Memories. But you were taken from us to soon. I will never forget the Tattoo, you have "I SMILE NOW" Si Mejho Estas Con " Dios"

I had no idea this site was set up until Linda sent the address to me. Every once in a while my mind wanders back to Florence and inevitably to my years there. I spent many many days there babysitting Jay...the Mono Brothers in their younger days. I can vividly remember time at the kitchen table doing math and time trying to get the boys to sit down instead of wrestling. Funny how it makes me smile today to know I was there for so many moments... sharing small talk and fights and fooling around. Jay grew steadily into an amazing young man and I was proud to have been a part of his past. I'm always glad to see and hear of his brothers even today. I would see him every once in a while, usually at a football game or a Lopez family function, and we would hug and talk about when he and Mono tied Louie to the clothes line pole out back. Sad all over again at thinking of the loss for the family and close friends. Tradegy does nothing except remind us to be thankful for each day we are given.
