Reflections for Sergeant Donald Frederick Flusche, Jr.

Donnie,

I miss you old friend, may God watch over Mike and the rest of the Flusche clan.

Sgt. Flusche, I was reading the recent article about your brother who was recently shot in the line of duty after responding to a hostage situation. Obviously you were looking out for him, b/c things look good and, according to the news reports, he's going to make it through just fine. I look at the history of your family and see 3 Sgt. Flusches...what an amazing family history!!! Your father must be so proud of you and your brother...from the quotes I read in the paper it certainly sounds like it.

God Bless you, Sgt. Flusche...and keep watching over the guys out there in the field.

Donnie,

You were so very much respected and loved by all those you served with. May you rest in peace and may all your family (including your family in blue) rest knowing you are happy in heaven watching over us all. May God Bless all our peace-keepers in blue.

A Dallas PD Wife

Donald,

Sorry to hear that you had to suffer in this condition for so long, but now you can rest in peace & you can be with your fellow brothers, that are resting in peace, aswell.

Dear Dad,

I just want it to be known that you are a Grandfather, too. Our son is a healthy and happy boy, who has a beautiful ahead of him. His name is Matthew which means "gift from God." It wasn't long after we buried you that we found we were pregnant. I honestly believe you went up to heaven and picked this beautuful baby boy out for us and sent him down for us to raise. Thank you. I miss you, will always use a guide in life, and forever love you.

Your Son,
Trey

Sarge,

You will never know what an influence you had on me so early in my career, and in so many ways....... and even now, 14 years later.

May you ALWAYS rest in peace

Sgt. Flusche, your watch is over and our department salutes you and your tour. May you watch over the gates of heaven, as you watched over the citizens of Dallas, Texas.
