Dick, it's almost been two years. There isn't a day that goes by that you are not thought of. Your not just memorialized by our actions, the 21 gun salute and taps. You are, and always will be a part of each and everyone of us here at CTPD. At every call we go on you are still there with us, in our heart, mind, and soul. NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN, ALWAYS MISSED!

Lt. Marc Rybinski

Dickie V - It's been a year now that you left us, but we will never forget. Father Mike is having a mass for you tonight and we will all be there, then we will pay you a visit. You will be with us in spirit forever buddy.

Dick- you are so terribly sadly missed. Nino and I got married, we wished so bad that you and Irv could have been there physically. We know you were there. I have been thinking of you a lot lately, maybe because the anniversary of your death is about a month (5 weeks) away. Maybe because I am going to see Rev. Carrie on Monday, will you be there? I promise to recognize any signs you send me. It is so sad that you are gone, there was so much more fun awaiting you in life. So many things were "coming around". We miss you and love you very much.

Merry Christmas buddy. We miss you.

I never had much of a chance to spend alot of time with Dick but I do spend alot of time with those of whom he worked with and from what I saw and witnessed of Dicks' actions he was a very fun lovig guy who always gave more to others than himself! He will surley be missed in all our hearts and I speak for everyone that we are gratefull for Dick keeping our streets safe here and in the city of Detroit! To Dick and all of his family, "May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."

Four months after your death and it's not getting any easier. Happy Fathers Day buddy!
