Hey John, it's been nearly 19 years since that fateful day. I think of you often. I hope you know that you mattered. You took a part of me with you that day. A part that I don't think I'll ever get back until I see you again. I know you're at peace and loving heaven. I know you're saving a spot for me. I love you brother.

John was my brother, and my protector growing up. He was the greatest person I have ever known, and I miss him every day. I wish he were here so that I could give him a hug and tell him I love him, and he was the best big brother any girl could ever have. Love you Johnny

John. I was so very sorry to hear of your passing as were many others you served with. It was a pleasure to serve along side of you while we were stationed overseas out in the middle of nowhere. You were always the best of us and I often think back on those times and smile. Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts are with you and your family.

John, you are an inspiration to others. You are the model of what law enforcement is all about. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten and your life shall be honored for years and years to come. We should all feel safe knowing there are law enforcement officers like you serving as our guardian angels. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

John, There hasn't been a day that goes by that you aren't remembered.
I will never forget January 9th, 2001 at 2:45 PM. I lost my best friend.
For so long, I blamed myself for your death. I know you asked God to relieve that burden and remind me that I wasn't God and that it was his choice to take you. He needed a good Trooper in heaven, so he took the right one. I know you watch over me every day. Thank you so much for being a part of my life.
On January 9th of 2014, I will be having a surgery. 13 years after you left us. I just ask that you continue to watch over me.
John, I love and miss you each and every day, brother.

John, I still remember those Sunday nights in Patrol School when would talk about our families and getting through the 28 weeks. It's a shame that your time came to end so soon before you aspired to greatness. We have truly missed out on you making a difference in the Patrol. I would see your patrol picture up in the cadet classroom and just smile at the memories that members of the 99th Basic Patrol School shared.

Take care brother, Dave

John,

I don't know why but I thought about you today. I miss you man, the days on the road, in the gym, and the nights just talking. You were truely one of the good guys on the patrol and I truely loved working with you.

I remember that day so vividly but what I remembered the most was your little boy standing in the window when I arrived to give Kim the bad news. That day is etched in my mind forever and I would love to meet the little guy in that window again. I'm sure he has grown to be a fine young man.

John, or Johnny as we called you, I can still remember how we talked about being pilots when we were kids. How we watched Top Gun like 1000 times, Lol! Or the time you came home and took your car down the drag strip here in Hattiesburg. I sure do miss you, my cousin, and I think about you often. ESPECIALLY when I see a State Trooper, even if it is MHP! You may be gone but you will NEVER be forgotten. Until we meet again....

John,

So much has changed my brother since you have gone. I miss our talks, laughs, council sessions and your presence. I rember like it was yesterday, sitting in the passenger seat of your patrol car talking about working out at the gym ...the next day you were gone. I miss you and think of you often. I so wish you were here, I miss my friend so much...R.I.P. my brother.

wow, i honestly can't believe this january made it 10 years since you've been gone. i know the phrase "it seems like yesterday" is over-used, but it really does seem like just yesterday you left us. i can't even begin to describe how much i still miss you. your goofiness, your smile. you always knew how to make me laugh. at the time i didn't realize the sacrifices you made to make all of us proud, but now that i do, i can't thank you enough. you were so good to me even though i wasn't your own and i can honestly say you were my bestfriend. justin has grown up to be just like you. he has your smile and your sense of humor. even though he tends to have a smart mouth, he is always quickly reminded of the butt whooping he would get if his dad was here. i can't wait to see who he becomes and i pray that he grows to be just as much of a man as you were.
john, not a day goes by that you aren't remembered & from time to time i find myself laughing at memories that i still have of your time with us. i can't wait to see your smile again one day. love you forever.
