I had the pleasure of living on the same block as Pete and remember how he looked forward to becoming a Philadelphia Police Officer. I still think of him from time to time. I remember him as a kind and generous person. I believe that he was a person that his daughter would be proud of.

On September 21st it will be fifteen years since you were taken from your wife, daughter and family. Nicole has just started her first year of college. She has blossomed into a beautiful young lady and you can be proud of her.

Dad, How much I wish that I could remember. The days, months, and years go by and I wish I could remember. I wish I could remember what it was like for you to hold me, your smell, details of you. There's not a day that goes by that I don't wish that I could remember you, that I could know you. Your wife became the best mother you could have ever possibly wished for. She is my rock, she does and provides for me everything she has. I wish she'd realize just how much she means to me, and how proud I am of her. She has stuck by me through everything that has happened in my life, even if she doesn't agree with me or my choices in life, she loves me unconditionally no matter what. Recently, I have become aware of just how important it is to be loved unconditionally, and I've also become aware that not everyone is fortunate enough to have that. And I am incredibly lucky. She, Nana and PopPop, and Titi Mimi have done so much to try to keep your memory alive. And make me realize, just how much I meant to you and how much you loved me. They have also done an amazing job at reminding me of what an amazing man you were. How many lives you saved, and how you will always be remembered. Even though I don't remember, I am so incredibly proud to be able to call you my father. You will forever be in my heart.
Love always,
Nicole

I do my best every chance i get to keep your memory alive Brother. Your memorial plaque at the 25th District never looses it shine as far as i can help it. I go forward everyday knowing you watch over us continuing to do what you did best, helping the unfortunate and seeking out the predators of freedom. It breaks my heart knowing you were taking away so soon. A stolen car in your name, on your anniversary, hopefully i'll make you proud! Your Brother In Royal Blue, ~Jose 09/21/2012

Your birthday just past and for the first time since the day you were buried I witnessed your baby brother cry for you. Remembering the times that you held each other together as only brothers could. He misses you so much. There is not one day that goes by that we don't think about you. I remember over 16 years ago when I started dating your brother, how you always cracked jokes about the house on Mascher Street and when you made it into the academy how you always tried to take someone down at a family party or holiday get together or the time you scared the life out of me by jumping out of the coffin on halloween. You left us all with wonderful memories. We will keep your memory alive and hope to become half of the person you were.

With Love,
Your Sister-in-law
