Officer Jeff Azuar always will be in my families hearts he was a great man. He really helped my family out when my step-father had his stroke. Jeff and my step-dad grew up togther they graduated togther, and saw eachother from time to time when Jeff would stop by our store with Rondo and when Rondo passed on he stopped by with A.J. both GREAT dogs just like there master. I will always remember Jeff as a great man. HE WILL BE MISSED GREATLY by The Vallejo Police Department and ALL those who knew him.

It is with much difficulty having to find the right words in a time like this. No words can console. A master at his work, and a loss of his K-9 only year's earlier. May we always remember Jeff, and realize our own fate for tommorrow. He and his partner sacrificed themselves in different times. Ironic. But, there is no greater Love, than for both to lay their lives down for others.

Jeff & K, you will always be in our hearts and memories,

Sgt. Jason Tyson
Wilmington Police Department

This is hard. Again, I mourn another Brother's death. Officer Azuar's a twenty-one year veteran Police Officer and a Great K-9 Handler, has seen many unforgivable things in his life. His partner was taken from him only a few short years by means of a stabbing. He worked in the filth of everyday crimes, yet, Officer Azuar was a hard charger, and kept going. He stayed in a job where many can not, could not and would not ever do. He was an Angel of Peace, he was a Protector and a Savior. He was the mentor of all of us who try to be what he has been. Ofc. Azuar is a Hero. A man that civilians see as the cop. He was the man that the same civilians saw as the Hero, when he came to their need. He got credit at times, he got rediculed mostly, as all Police Officers do by those who never walked in our shoes. He was a member of those who fell before him, and he'll be a member of the Police Creed forever. He will never be forgotten. Ofc. Azuar was and will always be a HERO. Miss Azuar, God Bless You, Stay Strong, and If you ever need any Help getting through this, Please let me know. You are my Sister, and we PRAY FOR YOUR WELL Being. In God We Trust, But Family is Closer than you can Imagine. The members of the IMPK9 Association are there for you, as well as others who are willing to do what we can. Very Sincerely, Gary Wolter and Family.

Rest easy, brother. May God comfort those you left behind. You are a hero.

It has been some time since Jeff left us. My daughters still talk about him driving by the house and turning his spot lights on their window to say hello.. They also ask about his K-9 partner often....
He is now and will always be missed by many. Thank you Jeff for watching over my daughters while I was not able to and for being on the streets day in and day out.
God Speed Brother, God Speed.

Officer Azuar IS greatly missed by all of us, that loved and knew him. I doubt that Vallejo will ever see anyone with the dedication that Officer Azuar had. I am privledged to have been his friend, and to have also known Rondo. Life will never be the same without them, Thank-you to all on VPD.

It is with a heavy heart that I read of the tragic death of a hometown officer. Officer Azuar was one of the many officers in Vallejo that kept me safe while growing up. Thank you for your service to the people of Vallejo, CA.
