Reflections for Police Officer Troy Alan Blando

5 Years already. I remember when it happened and it seems like it was only yesterday. I pray for your wife and son.

Officer Blando,

I've never had the opportunity to meet you, but I reside in the city you died protecting.  I know no words I can say can remove the loss your family, friends, and fellow officers have experienced, but I just wanted to say that I will never forget you.  I would also like to thank all of you in blue that risk your lives every day protecting my home and family.

Paul Munoz
Baytown Fire

Although I never had the pleasure of working with yOu it saddens my heart to see a brother officer downed.  My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to your wife Judy and son Daniel.  I can only imagine the pain that they are going through each and every day with the loss of such a  courageous man. May God keep you.  You have definately earned your wings.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Troy Blando but he was a "Brother Officer", and I pray for his wife Judy and his son Daniel. No words can make what happened go away, but prayer and a belief in God will ease the pain. The City of Houston is a little dimmer without Troy Blando protecting and serving its citizens.

Deputy Barry Saucier
Angelina County Sheriffs Dept.

Dear Troy,

I miss you my friend, I get up everyday knowing you are protecting each of us in your own way. You taught each of us something everyday, things like showing kindness, being perpared for what may come our way. Officer Troy Blando is what The Houston Police Department should stand for. Auto theft will never be the same without you "peewee", I believe even the bad guys miss you. Remember me my friend as I will always remember you. Your light is always shining here in the auto Theft Division..May god bless your family, rest now.

Officer Kevin Banks
Houston Police Dept.

Too soon, Officer Troy Blando has left us. Our lives will be empty in places that his energy once filled. Our sorrow is lessened only slightly from the knowledge of knowing that he is serving a higher power now. He walks not alone but in the cradling arms of our dear Lord. He gave us laughter, gave us encourgement and gave us the gift to have known him. We are better because of his light that he brought to our hearts. We stand in a tall shadow of a great man who all in all will remain with us - an overseer, a friend and a angel. We miss you Troy and your light will shine on for a lifetime. To Judy and Daniel, a loving wife and son, remember all that he brought and what is stil to come.

Officer - Vicki Mobley
Houston Police Department

My friend I miss you dearly, I can still remember turning on the Television and hearing that an officer has been shot, I would of never dreamed that if was my friend. This city will always mourn the great lost that has been felt. I miss the talks we had and the lunches that we shared. You always had a good word about your wife Judy and son Daniel. My heart goes out to your whole family alot of prayers are with them my friend. I know you will always be there when needed, you were always that type of angel.. We miss you, we love you..

A friend
