Inspector Joyce Carnegie, 21 years later I still wish I was able to meet you. I love hearing the stories about you from my dad when you guys worked together at OPD. I just got on with a sheriffs office in ga where we live now. Not only am I doing this because of my dad I’m doing this because of you. for as long as I possibly can I’m going to Carry my head high wearing this shield on my chest knowing you are looking down on me. That day when you got off work you were supposed to come over and meet me, my dad tells me how excited you were about it but sadly you never ended your tour that day. As I walk the blue line, I will always have you in the back of my mind that you are watching over me. Rest easy Joyce.

If words can replace, the hurt I feel each time I drive by your memorial site. The illfated night, the echoes of wailing sirens coming to your aide. Gone but never forgotten, down , but still watching over us. Always missed always loved.
