4 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; 5 it is not arrogant or rude. Deputy Roberts, thank you for your service and dedication. You will be missed and never forgotten. May your family, fiancée, and everyone who loves you stay strong in the memories and love you shared with them.

I lost my fiancée, Scott Stewart, in August of 2002. There not a day that goes by without him in my heart and mind. I understand the pain your fiancee must feel from being ripped from you to soon. The support and love from others who know my pain have helped tremendously.

To your fiancee, if you ever feel the need to reach out to others who know your pain, please contact me and other s/o’s. A search on yah groups will bring you to us. Just enter the below as it is.

Always remember as long as your heart beats Stevie will be with you. He’s there everyday in your heart.

Hugs,
Monica

Hello Steve
I can not believe its been six years already.
I like to listen to Tim and DJ reminise about the silly stuff you all did as kids. You are never left out, they laugh and you can see the sadness as you are truly missed. If Tim could count his change to get to HEAVEN he would be right there to see ya.(You know what I mean by that) We have Steve days at this house and then we here a song and know that you must have Tim days in Heaven. I wish I could pick up the phone and call ya.
Say Hello to my Uncle for me.I bet you and him are riding your Harleys side by side on the streets of GOLD.
Love and Miss ya

(S R.267) The Candle

Last night I lit a candle in memory of a Sheriff’s Deputy
that I had never met
The tears streaked down my face
as I thought of all of the events prior to his passing
The pain...
... and sorrow felt by his family and friends

This weekend he was going to marry,
and start a new life,
with a very special woman
But now because of someone’s carelessness
she is left alone on her wedding day
With only cherished memories,
of the man she loved...
A man that gave her his heart
right up to it’s final beat
His love for her was strong
and he fought for three weeks
to stay alive for her and his sons.
But his injuries were too great
and as his body failed him,
still his heart beat with love for her
and his children...

Till God called him home,
to join the other Deputy Angels
in heaven...

Hey Steve,

Wow, it his hard to believe it has almost been a year.  Well, let me tell you it has been some year! :>}  First off I wanted to THANK YOU for sharing Mom & Dad Robert's with Harry & I. I can see where you inherited not ONLY your good looks but your Charming Personality.  I can also see where you learned compassion and forgivness. :>}  I just wanted to let you know all is well here and since Mom has retired she has kept Dad hoping. Painting, Gardening, keeping Harry in line (hahaha  as if) OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT TO TELL YOU.. At Christmas this year their house outshone EVERYONES on the block~~It had the BIGGEST Blue Cross I have ever seen on the top of it..But then again it had to be so that you could "check it out" as it was their gift to you. And Col made this really awesome grapevine wreath with your picture smack dab in the center surrounded by these beautiful blue lights.  It hangs on the light post out front above your dedication tree.  Not to change the subject or anything , BUT.. the building dedication in your honor will be here shortly and upon hearing this it brought back memories of your HUGE LIFE Celebration to me, AKA Funeral to many.. WOW what a turn out..  It made me think of how you enjoyed parties and about the Halloween party Harry & I had and you and Pat came dressed up as Homer & Bart Simpson in the costumes Pat made! :>}  You won first prize that night.. It was just one of your many accomplishments.   Well, enough of my ramblings, I just wanted to check in and let u know that u r missed and like EVERYONE says, not a day or week goes by that someone does not mention you.  WOW, I do beleive you have surpassed the old cliche about 15 minutes of fame!!!  It then truely reflects what a wonderful human being you were and still are.   PS..  Had a Deja Vu experience last night,, i was BARELY speeding on Lakeland (mine car said 45 D/S said 47.. the limit is 35..lol) Got caught in am AMBUSH!! hehehe D/S Wilson and HOXIE nailed me.. lol  giggles when Wislon pulled me over Hoxie road by turned & wairted for Wilson. When Wilson got to the car saw it was me started to laugh and told me to SLOW IT DOWN!! I said I was barely speeding!! lolHe smiled & saif u were doing 47!!! Lol

Well, I had no idea whp the SGT was until I got home told HArry about what happened he died laughing of course then said it was Hoxie!!  I bet u got a good lugh outa it too!! heheh  .. If nothing else, just wanted to thankl you for "Letting" me slide again Steve!! :>()

Hey Little Brother,

It's been a year since the accident. And, I think to myself if I close my eye's tight and wish real hard this bad dream would go away, like You,Tim and I used to do when we were little. Barry and I were talking of our childhood last weekend, and one particular incident of many came to mind. See if you remember (3 men in a tub).I laughed and cried. The memories Tim and I have how we cherish them. Tim called me on your birthday and we talked for some time of our memories. Our wish was that you were here so we could make more. If I could have one wish it would be to have you here for a day, even an hour to tell you so many thing's. But, then I know you hear me as I can hear your laughter at time's, and feel you close to me. When Dad and I were in your room and your hand slid off the pillow after Dad wiped your face. I watched as Dad held it for sometime then put it back on the pillow ever so gently. But, again it slid off the pillow. Daddy asked me what I thought you were trying to say He knew as I did. I remember what he told you, and to let you know he kept his promise, but then you know that. I whispered to you something that day as I kissed your cheek,I know you heard Daddy and I both.I know you were waiting for Daddy to tell you. Rest my Little Brother we will see you again till then know that you are loved and missed dearly.

Love Shelly

Steve,

My best memory of you was not as a fellow deputy, but as a fellow christian.  I have struggled and backslid, you name it, I've been there.  I guess we all have in one way or another.  I remember going to a Promise Keepers Conference five years ago and seeing you there.  Just seeing you in that environment was an inspiration to me.  Here was a cop who loved the Lord.  Ever since that moment, I knew you had something special.  Although we never spoke about it, I knew in my heart that you had God's peace in your heart.  Now, you are truly home.  You know that peace in such a real and awesome way.  You are one with Him.  Pray for me, pray for US as we prepare ourselves for His presence, that very same presence you have been experiencing since you left this place.

MERRY CHRISTMAS STEVE,

WE LOVE AND MISS YOU.. THANK-YOU FOR SAVING MICHAELS LIFE FROM DANGER.. LOVE TIM AND COL

We miss you, Steve, as we know all your friends and family do. We also wish you a Merry Christmas. Linda is a true friend and we love her as we know you did and we also can't wait until there is e-mail in heaven. One of your companions will be here to see us soon. We can't wait! Apple Salad will be made, one of your favorites we had at the holiday season when you and the kids were being raised in Florida. Remember when we made devinity, buckeyes and hard candy - Grandpa could hardly wait until we finished. God has you in his embrace, honey (also give Grandpa a hug. He loved you and the kids.)

Love and kisses,

MERRY CHRISTMAS STEVE!!

My Dear Brother Steve,

As Christmas time nears I think of you so much more often ( if thats possible) with the baking and all that we loved doing so much as a family together. I still remember watching mom mix up the cookie dough and if we were good and listened we got to help cut out the cookies and frost them and decorate them, and getting our hands smacked for sneaking the dough to eat, oh and remember how we use to argue over who was gonna get the left over pie dough? I think D.J. always won out though only because he was bigger. All these memories I have tucked away in my heart and am so very thankful for them. We didn't have much growing up but I wouldn't change a thing even if I could. We got by and Mom did a wonderful job with the help of Aunt Helen and please give her a big hug and kiss for me, then Dad came along and wow what a wonderful time we had then. It is so much fun reminiscing of when we were younger. I thank God for the wonderful memories I keep and I thank God for you. I will see you again and when we all get together I hope there is a big enough kitchen for all of us to bake and make candy like we use to. Until then Steve, I will continue to hold each and every memory that you have given me very dear in my heart. I love and miss you so very very much and I am just waiting for the day when I can hug you and kiss you again. Merry Christmas my dear brother.

Love,

Vicki
