Lil' mike, I was only 8 years old when you took off on your journey - I'm 21 now. You have made the biggest impact on my life. I think about you daily and still imagine how different life would be if you were here. I miss you so much. My Mom and I were watching home videos of you not too long ago. I like watching them because I still remember your voice. I know you're looking down on all of us and watching over us. I'm so proud to be your cousin and I love to talk about you. Words can't describle how happy and thankful I am to be close w/ Joey - I get to hear crazy stories about you and it makes me smile :)

I love you Lil' Mike - and I know I will see you again, someday. xoxo

Love always,

For some reason I had you in my thoughts all day today Michael. I remember you as always smiling and laughing and of the love that always shown in your Mom's eyes when speaking about you.

Though we didn't know each other very well, know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers often.

You left this world too soon but the impact you made on those around you will live on.

Well, I'm really wishing I could call you right now, I've got this dumb job issue and I'm pretty discouraged. Wish you could fix it.
I'm glad I get to be the first to leave you a message this year, I come here and want to leave you one all the time.
I think about you all the time.
I miss you, you are still my hero.

To Those I Love And Those Who Love Me

Author: Unknown
When I am gone, release me. Let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be
happy, we had so many years.

I gave you my love and you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it's time I traveled alone.

So grieve a while for me if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part
So bless those memories in your heart.

I won't be far away for life goes on
So if you need me , call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
with all my love around you soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome You
Home".

It's been so long since I held my breath waiting for you to be okay. It's been so long since you went home to the Lord. You've been my inspiration, to leave Chicago, to become a Police Officer. I think of you often, you are not forgotten all this time and so far away.
Rest in peace.

Ever since I was a little girl I would dream of the day I would get to meet you. Never in my wildest dreams did i expect that the first time i would see you in person that it would be at your wake. You died a hero, brave and strong, and i can only hope that I inherited your stregth and bravery...you were a person to admire and to look up to..i just wish we would have had a chance to meet...but i looks like I'm going to have to wait...
I love you big brother and i cant wait till the day we finally get to meet..
