I do not know your family nor did I know your husband,,,,,but have been involved in law enforcement for many years as just a lowly dispatcher....I had a friend who worked for Glendale PD at the time your loved one was killed. I remember the horror when it dawned on us that death could be a second away for any of us, and much more for those on the streets protecting us. There would be nothing I could say or do to make things better except to tell you that God smiles down on those who "hug a policeman every day">>May God continue to smile down on you and your family and know that someday you will be able to hug him again.....

His Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of him as gone away
His journey's just begun
Life holds so many facets
This Earth is only one
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrow and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And he was loved so much

They say that time heals all things- and while that may be true- time certainly does not make your life and death any less significant and worthy of remembrance. You're children and wife remember you every day...they miss you every day. I thank you for your sacrifice... and I'm praying for your wife and your children- that they keep the things you would want them to remember close to their hearts.
