I've told your story to some of the guys I'm working with now. You are not forgotten and we honor your sacrifice by staying vigilant. Be at peace, warrior.

Tobin, I have prayed for you and your family off and on during this season. A little later in the day I'll be driving to the place where you gave yourself so I can more fully recall your valor. I remember you and am grateful each day for the time you purchased for me with your life. Your gift was not wasted. Rest easy warrior!

Hey . I don't know what to say . Went by your grave a couple of weeks ago . My heart is so heavy tonight . I haven't cried in a long time . I am now . Just realized its June . The meeting topic tonight was grief . I miss you and mom and dad a lot . I'm not doing very good right now . It feels good to miss you . It makes me realize how much I really loved you . I don't know what prompted me to Google your name tonight ... I'm so glad I did . I love you . I miss you .

What you did for my father and my family these many years ago remains fresh in my memory. I cannot adequately express my gratitude. If not for you, I probably would not be where I am today. Thank you so much. Rest easy, warrior.

Time has passed but my memory of you and the time we spent together has not faded. One of my sons recently graduated the same police academy you and I graduated from and your memory lives strong there as well. How you lived made a difference and ultimately made the difference for how I, and my family live.

God it is so good to FINALLY say thank you for saving my family that horrible night, your family and you are always in my heart. I have dreamed of this moment, most of all dreamed of the chance to meet you up there with Our Father. You are precious and sweet to Jesus and your heroism will never be forgotten. I have a 5 year old son named Julius, you know thay Julius was a centurion in the Bible that helped Paul in Acts 27. I just put a photo up on facebook of my Mother, a picture that I took that summer. Thanks for sacrificing your Family and life so that I could have a future, God doesnt make any mistakes. I'm thankful to God our Guardian Angel. Amen

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 14th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both their pain and pride are forever.

Tobin, I had the honor to present your daughter at her 16th birthday recently, a great young lady. An officer called in sick tonight so I have patrolled the place where you spent yourself and prayed and thought of you often during the shift. Peace.

Tobin......thanks again for life. I have spent the day thinking of you and crying over what could have been. Your daughter is growing into a wonderful young lady. I tell all the new officers about your heroism and sacrifice. Your courage has become part of the culture of the Eagle Lake PD.

Tobin, I think of you and your family all the time. I still wear you badge around my neck. I know that we argued about certain things. We agreed to disagree on those things. I do not regret my decision to leave the department. I know it was the right thing for me. I was on the verge of doing something that I would have regretted later. I miss you everyday. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and your family. You left a legacy that will never be forgotten. You touched a lot of people and made a lasting impression. I miss and love you. You bring a tear to my eye every time I think of you.

Brother its been a long time since the coward attacked you. I want you to know anytime I see or hear Eagle Lake I remember you and pray for you and your family. I see them occasionally and they are doing well. Thank you for your sacrifice and service. You will never be forgotten by any man or officer, we will make sure. Once again we thank you so much and your brothers in the thin blue line will take it from here. God bless. Now let us take care of yours.

Tobin, right at ten years have gone by since you gave yourself. I dont know why but this year it is particularly hard for me. The local paper ran a really good article on you and your sacrifice and how your family is doing, etc. I am inspired by your courage and your warriors heart and have done my best to use the gift of more time that you gave me that night. I am glad to know that I will see you again in Heaven. Peace.

Officer Thomas,
In just a few months it will be ten years since you were taken so prematurely from your family, and your brothers and sisters in blue. I never met you, but reading the reflections that have been left by your family, friends and co-workers makes me feel even sadder then I thought possible that you are gone. You were a great Officer, and your great effect on this earth will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace my Brother as you walk the beat in Heaven. Please keep watch on those of us that are still trying to hold the line down here.
