Reflections for Deputy Kyle Wayne Dinkheller

Let us (as law-abiding citizens) humbly take a moment of gratitude to our maker and thank all of the men and women of law enforcement that serve their communities everyday with pride-especially police officers like Deputy Kyle W. Dinkheller that heroically died in the line-of-duty. We owe some of our priceless freedom to the unselfish bravery and dignity that they uphold every shift proudly wearing the badge-protecting the rest of us from potential crime.

I just watched this mans murder on youtube. Awful and tragic to say the least. My prayers will be with this officers family. Unfortunate that he was out gunned by a vet who knew how to use covering fire and knew to stay behind cover.

Kyle I saw the dashboard video and like many officers here I to have seen alot of unfortunate video of officer shootings and seeing your dashboard video I felt compelled to write to you to gain a sense of peace for you. I am usually numb to this sort of thing and when I found out you had a wife and kids it really put the hook in me. I know you are at peace in Heaven now and I pray for the loved ones who you had to leave behind. I know that from your death your brothers and sisters of the badge can learn alot from your tragic experience and perhaps save one of our own so that you will never have died in vain. God Bless You Deputy Kyle Dinkheller

Kyle, you are in the heavens with Jesus and our maker God!! Even though we know your death was in vain, we must realize that the Lord felt it was your time to soar with the angels. Your video has changed the face of Law Enforcement today as a result of your sacrifice. For you, there is no more suffering but eternal comfort and happiness in heaven!!!!

Really sorry for what happened to you bud, I hope that I can nail one of those dumb bastards that have the mindset that your killer did. You did good you didnt back down, he just happened to have more training than you.

Deputy Dinkheller, it was with disgust and pure admiration that I viewed your vehicles dash cam recording of this horrific incident. Your bravery under fire and your never quavering committment to your duty as a Police Officer are testament to you as a decent, Heroic person. The Lord would have welcomed home his valiant Warrior, all be it much sooner than expected. And as for that evil creature that took your earthly life away, he will burn in Hell for evermore - regardless of excuses.
As a young man you showed fortitude of character well beyond your years. I sit here in the safety of my house with tears of awe.
May the Lord bless and keep safe those left behind.
My most sincere condolences to family, friends and co-workers.

Kyle,
I have seen many videos of fatal officer shootings in my criminal justice classes but non of which made me as upset as yours. When watching the video I find myself fighting back tears as I hear you scream in pain. This video will be forever implanted in my brain as a reminder of those who heroically die protecting the home front of the United States. As a college student getting into law enforcement I want to let you and your family know that your incident further inspires me to be a police officer. My heart goes out to your family and friends in which you were tragically forced to leave behind. To think that there are people out there so heartless, and evil. Even though I am not a local resident of Georgia, I want to thank you for a job well done, because without men and women out there on the streets, who would we have to protect us. You are a true Hero my friend, God bless you and your family and may you rest in peace…
RIP- Deputy Kyle Dinkheller

I recently heard of this from a friend and was moved to tears by the torture this brave young man had to endure in this horrible attack and the fact that he endured and passed alone, and to read that he had a young wife and baby girl and a son on the way rips my heart out! This will be with me forever. I have said prayers for him and his family and offer my sincere condolence. I hope this information (even though I think graphic video can be painful) can hopefully help save the life of another officer, deputy or trooper by remembrance and will make the public more respectful of these wonderful human beings that serve all of us!

To the children of this fallen officer: Your daddy was a hero. Never let anything or anyone deter you from that unyielding truth. Live by his values and his sanctity for life, and you will be well served....

...another one of us cut short, who had the vision and concern to do something great for the country he believed in. What a great site to recognize ALL of those which are as much heroes HERE, as all of those who serve in far off lands.
People should remember that guys like Kyle do this every day HERE, and put their life on the line every day. Does anybody care? I do! Wake up America; we are in a "world of hurt." My sincere thoughts and prayers for Mr. Dinkheller and his Family.

To Kyle and his family,

I have read a lot of these powerful tributes here and have seen the video of Kyle's senseless murder for the first time today. I just wanted to send my heartfelt condolences to your family and friends and all the fellow officers out there protecting us average citizens each and every day. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!! Kyle, I understand your video is shown to teach fellow students and officers. Your video,I am sure, has saved lives already and will continue forever. God bless you Kyle. God Bless your Parents. God bless your wife..and God Bless your children.

YOU ARE A HERO FOREVER!

I was deeply affected by the video of what happened, I am not a Law Enforcement individual but I am eternaly greatfull that there are officers of the Law like you. You showed amazing restraint in not putting that POS down long when he would not drop the weapon. So many times you hear story's that the media make something off when an officer takes action any sane person would. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your familly.

To the lost Kyle Dinkheller:

I dont know you, but your video has affected me immensley. I have this gut reaction that makes me wish I can change the things my eyes seen. I dont know what drives me to write on this wall, but I can't help but think how much a loss you are to society and how awful I feel for your wife and children. I can't beleive how long you gave that man before forcing to use deadly force, you are a true saint. I hope your family lives long lives and someday they get to see you in whichever heaven you expect to go to. God Bless you sir...

Kyle,

There are some that would say that the video of your tragic shooting should not have been made public. I beg to differ. Sadly, it has been proven over and over that virtually every officer ever killed in the line of duty has made some kind of mistake that contrbuted to their death. The old saying goes that "hindsight is 20/20". This is absolutely true. However, instead of critcizing you and the other officers who have tragically lost their lives, I feel that it is one of the last tributes that we can give to you by using your video to hopefully save the life of another officer who may find his/herself in the same situation. Your death WILL NOT be in vain. I know it may be difficult for your family and friends to see this video...heck, it's hard for the rest of us to see it. However, they should know that you did your job, you treated this man right and did nothing to provoke this situation. Most importantly: When faced with a no-win situation, you fought to the end. God Bless you sir, and may God Bless your family and friends as well.

Like many of the people that posted on your page, I to have watched the video of your shooting. Although we all knew the ending somehow we wish that it would turn out different. That maybe your bullets would have hit the mark. That another car would roll up and take that POS out. However, that was not the case. I worked solo for almost two years and performed thousands of car stops. One of the most dangerous things you can do in L.E. is a car stop. It is the ultimate unknown. I thank god every day that I survived and have been in my share of hairy situations, although nothing like yours. Rest in peace bud, you will be missed but not forgotten...
