19 years! How is that possible?! You missed 19 years of my life. This hurts so bad. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. We were talking about angels the other day with Bryce & I was explaining guardian angels and how daddy has a very special one watching over him daily, protecting him on duty. We talk about you so much to the boys. I think I miss you more now than ever. I could use my uncle to talk to during stressful times. I love you forever & always!

Dear Mike:

I only met you once, the day you were married. I found out about this horrible night from your brother in law but was still carrying some unknown lack of trust for cops. That all changed though and had no basis. Police officers are pretty cool in my better opinion. The thing I wanted to say to you aside from previous is "thank you for your service"! I was told your k9 partner tried so hard to save you. RIP Deputy Michael Metroka.

I wanted to thank you so much for watching over Ethan the last 6 months, I know you helped him along the way. It was a long difficult journey but he graduated from The Pennsylvania State Police Academy on Friday & I couldn't be more proud of my husband! Please continue to watch over him & keep him safe as he begins his new journey as a Pennslvania State Trooper. Thank you & I love & miss you so very much!

Hey Bro, It's been so long since you left us, but I remember like yesterday working midnights in Pompano, you doing the pizza run going 40. The night of your crash and hunting for your killer is still fresh in my mind. Joking at roll call. You are missed my friend! You made doing our job much more tolerable with your humor. I remember how hard you worked to be a K9 Handler and your passion for the job. Take care in heaven "keep a swivel head".

Wow!...15 years already! It really doesn't seem that long ago that you were taken from all of us. I can remember so vividly coming home from school with mom & dad meeting us in the kitchen to tell us the words, "Sorry, Mike didn't make it.". I never felt pain like that before, I would never get to see the greatest uncle that ever lived again, I would never be surprised by you at the airport or at a party again, you wouldn't get to see me graduate from high school or college, or dance with me at my wedding, or hold my 1st born son. I know you watch over me & protect me each & every day... I know somehow you sent my very best friend to me, I feel you hand picked him special because he is exactly like you!! It may be 15 years that you were taken way too soon from us, however I love you & miss you just as much as that horrible day! Please continue to watch over me & protect me, the baby that I'm carrying, my precious Bryce & Watch over Ethan as he works on graduating from the State Police Academy. A day doesn't go by that mom doesn't think of you or mention you either, please continue to watch over mom & dad as well. You are a true hero to many of us & I will make sure that my babies know just how special my godfather was through the many stories & countless memories. Happy Holidays in Heaven Uncle Michael!! 15 years gone NEVER forgotten!

Happy 53rd Birthday!! WOW... 53 you would be! I'm sure you would still be as cool as ever!! I have a 9 mos. little boy now his name is Bryce & he definitely has alot of Metroka in his physical features. Being a mother is the greatest thing ever! I know you are watching over us but I wish everyday that you were here so Bryce & Ethan could meet you.
