Mark, you have ridden shotgun with us on deep nights too many times to count. Your memory is never farther than a few keystrokes away. Now as I sit to pray about the falling world and what influence for good I may have in it, I find myself at your page yet again. Your continued silent faith is somehow comforting to all of us. Maybe it's because of the man everyone knew you to be. We will never forget~~

Mark,

More years pass and you're still not far from my thoughts. I pray for you and your family often.

I miss you and that smile you always had on your face!

I still hit the streets every night wanting to honor you and your memory. Hope I measure up sir.

I have family members that are brothers in law enforcement and realize the risk they take. They served with you Mark and I'm so happy to see people still remember what you meant to your family, the brotherhood and the community. Thank you for what you gave and continue to unknowingly give us all.

Thank you, Mark, for your service, your bravery, and your example. I am nearing the end of my Law Enforcent career, and as part of that career serving with you was certainly one of my finer memories. I hope all new Officers in our Dept. learn about your life and then carry on the values you so gallantly displayed. I know you are watching over us all from heaven while we have the watch here on earth. Rest easy brother,

Greetings to Officer Stall's family. My name is Bob Bates and I am riding my bicycle over a thousand miles this year in honor and rememberance of Mark. I am wearing a bracelet that has his E.O.W. bio and will have it for Mark's family in D.C. for the annual police week. I do hope to meet some one from Mark's family there at the survivors meeting with Law Enforcement United.

I remember exactly what I was doing when my father(also with BPD) came home from work that night. And I remember riding with him during your presession. The city of Boise lost a hero that night. Thank you Officer Stall. Rest in peace. We got it from here.

MARK AND STALL FAMILY, 9-26-11

I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS TO LEAVE A REFLECTION ON THIS, THE 14TH YEAR OUR LIVES ALL CHANGED FOREVER. SO MANY EMOTIONS CAME RUSHING BACK. SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WE ALL GOT THE BAD NEWS!

I HAVE BEEN A COP NOW FOR 10 YEARS AND THE LAST TIME I LEFT A REFLECTION, I WAS IN THE POLICE ACADEMY.

I WORK NIGHTS, HAVE A K-9 PARTNER (BORRY), AND LOVE WHAT I DO. I WORK THE STREETS IN THE HOPES THAT I DO IT WITH THE SAME COURAGE YOU DID.

THE BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL RAGES AND OFFICERS LIVES ARE PUT IN DANGER MORE AND MORE THESE DAYS. IN MY 10 YEARS I HAVE BEEN IN SEVERAL SERIOUS SITUATIONS INCLUDING AN OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING AND A SERIOUS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT ON DUTY. NONE OF THESE SERIOUS SITUATIONS HAVE KEPT ME FROM CONTINUING TO DO MY JOB.

I READ NOW THAT ONE OF YOUR DAUGHTERS IS 20 AND PLANNING A WEDDING. SHE SEEMS LIKE SHE'S DOING WELL BUT IT'S CLEAR SHE MISSES YOU. I CAN SEE YOU BEING A PROUD FATHER AND LOOKING DOWN ON HER.

I STILL THANK YOU ALL THE TIME FOR YOUR SACRIFICE MY BROTHER IN BLUE AND FRIEND.

REST EASY MARK, I WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WE MEET AGAIN.

I will never forget the your spirit. You are now part of the ages but the ages will always remember you. So proud to have known and served with you

Today is the 14th anniversary of that tragic night. I can't believe that much time has passed since then. So much has changed here at Boise PD. Most of the people working here now never had the pleasure of meeting you!

We continue to honor you and your commitment to your community and your family. You are not forgotten! I miss those time we would team up in the summer working the downtown beat. Those were great times that we had. Take care my friend.....you are greatly missed!!

To this day, there is not a shift that passes that Officer Mark Stall is not remembered. He rides as a silent partner with an officer on EVERY SHIFT 24/7. The day his final shift was 10-42 still brings tears as we remember the fine officer, friend, family member, father, son, husband, and brother we lost. However, when remembering the life and service Mark displayed, the memories are of fond happiness, loyalty, and honor. Mark was a blessing that graced all police officers. To say he is sorely missed is truly an understatement.
We named the street and Boise Police Station after you Mark. It is now appropriately named "Mark Stall Place" in your honor. It is a beautiful facility that the City of Boise is very proud to have and prouder still to have given it your name.
Rest in delightful peace Officer Stall and continue to watch over the other officers that protect and serve.

I remember this story on the news here in Southern California. The story was that Mark was a former LASO deputy who had moved to Idaho for a better life. I was a boot deputy with another So Cal sheriff's dept. I am now a Sgt with that dept and am preparing to move my family to Idaho for a better life. Mark Stall is a true hero. Bless him and bless his family. God Speed Mark and all the Stall's out there....
