Noreen,

You will always be in our thoughts. The last time we spoke was at our twenty-year high school reunion. I'm glad we got the chance to share our fond memories of one another. We had our thirty-year reunion last night. We all hope you enjoyed it too.

Officer Vargas was a great person to have around at our neighborhood block parties. She was always happy and fun to be around. Noreen would tell "Academy Stories" with glee and excitement to anyone who would listen. She truely LOVED her job. What a shock it was to learn that she was taken from the world so soon. God must have needed and wanted her desperatly.

Stephanie,do you remember Butch and Justin? They remember you. May our Heavenly Father comfort your friends and family until we are all reunited. Noreen... you are still remembered and missed

To the family and friends of Officer Noreen Vargas and her fellow officers, and most especially to Officer Vargas herself;

On this the ninth anniversary of your tragic death, please know that you are remembered and honored. Your courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Officer Vargas.

May your family continue to be supported by their law enforcment family, and other police survivors.
I am sure that Noreen is so grateful that her loving twin sister was there to parent her daughter, and I hope that God holds them both in his arms.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Officer Vargas gave to her community and the citizens of California, and the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on November 8, 1996.

I remember when Ofc. Vargas was taken from us. It was too soon, we were not ready. Rest in peace, my Sister. You are not forgotten.

~~~~~The Broken Chain~~~~~
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.~~In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.~~It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.~~You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.~~Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
