Reflections for Lieutenant Federico Narvaez

Freddy, I am thinking of you today as I have always for the past 11 years. I still remember the day I took the picture of you on this site, the day you became a sergeant. You told me again that day how you loved the job and you loved the streets. I'm sure they both miss you as I do.

Hello Feddy I learn about this website through the Orange County Sheriif's Office which I'm now a memember of after the 21 years in the N.Y.P.D. sounds crazy right, you are probably cracking up. I'm now living in Orlando and not a day goes by when the fellas from the 63 Pct. come down and we remember about the crazy, hilarious, unbelievable and yes unforgettable times we had with you. I pray that God will always keep you and your family safe always. You are definitely missed "GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS"......

Lieutenant, judging by the comments your friends and loved ones have left for you, one can plainly see what a remarkable life you have lead. I am sorry that I never had the pleasure of meeting you. I now ride the horse in the NYPD Mounted Unit, named affectionately, "Lt. Freddy". It is my honor to explain to people the origins of his name. Your courage has humbled many, and rest assured, you will never be forgotten.

When someone tragically took your life I was just entering into college. I am now an officer who makes it a point everyday to "pay it forward" for my brothers and sisters who have gone too early. Thank you for the work that you have done.

To you and your family we pray for the continued strength that is needed when trying to understand such a heartbreaking event. You are not forgotten Lt. May your eternal sleep be restful and may you see your family again.

Respectfully submitted on behalf of my department,

Officer Matthew Lewek

Freddy,
working with you for eight years in the 84 pct was an honr I will always cherish. You had a gift of keeping things light and making people laugh. You left a long legacy of people in the NYPD who are better for having known you.Thank you for all the great memories.

Time goes by, life is hectic, but there isn't a day that I don't think of you, what we knew, all we shared, how much we laughed, the long talks over tea...

Always,

Hey Freddie:

Not an old "war story" with your name in it gets told by the guys without us cracking up in laughter! you are sorely missed, but we try to remember your sense of humor and what a great boss you were. I still keep in touch with your wife and daughter and we get together sometimes. The two of them and my wife and I went out for dinner on your last anniversary in your memory. But of course you already know that. They miss you deeply but you taught them well, they're hanging tough. I know you're looking down on them very proud. i miss you, but I'll catch up to you on the other side.

you are not here with me, you will
always be in my heart. I see you in

guess what, so has Katrina. She is
now a black belt. I know you must
be very proud of her, as I am.
I know with you as Katrina's guardian angel, you will continue to help her
keep focus through out her life.

God bless you.
WITH ALL MY LOVE,
YOUR WIFE
MARILYN

I heard the call come over the radio 10-13(shots fired).

After the smoke cleared,we found you mortally wounded.

Not a day goes by that I don't remember that night.

It is forever burned into my memory.

Freddie you were the definition of what a cop should be.

You led by example and not by your rank or position.

You were a friend to all your co-workers.

I pray for you and the family you left behind(Madeline & Katrina).

May you watch over and protect all Law enforcement agents in the dangerous career we have chosen.

God bless you and keep you.
