Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Daniel T. Fraembs

Worked for me at Orange County SO. Saved my ass and my eye sight one night dealing with a 5150. It was an honor to have worked with Dan and he will always be in my thoughts and prayers to his family.

I will never forget you my brother. You showed great courage everyday, and you were a great officer and friend. It is hard to believe it has been twenty years. I also am honored to still know your family, who has shouldered such a heavy burden, and carried it with dignity and honor.

Not a day goes by without thinking of what an incredible person and true friend you were. I feel truly fortunate to have known you in that capacity. From our days at OCSO to the streets of Pomona, I will forever cherish those incredible memories.

Thinking about you, as I watched another brother cross over today. I was a young Explorer at PPD when you were murdered. Now I am in my 16th year as a career officer. You and your family are in a lot of peoples thoughts and prayers!

I did the memorial programs for your service, and watched as the procession wound its way to Forest Lawn Cemetery. You were an inspiration to your brother and sister officers, and sorely missed by all who knew you and loved you. Rest well, brother!

I never met you but attended your funeral. I was an investigator with the LA DA's Office assigned to our Pomona Office at that time. Some of DA staff that knew you and I shed a few tears at your service. I attend as many funerals of downed officers to pay respect to that officer and strengthen my resolve to do the job we do. I recently drove by Humane Way the site of your murder. I'm a supervisor now and my team has been working with your agency on a gang/crime suppression sweep. We're doing our part in your city to finish the job you started. "Never Forget," God bless you and your families sacrifice.

I wish everyone would contact me about Cpl. Danny Fraembs. Second Recon Team Leader, Company A, 1st Platoon, 2nd Reconnaissance Btn., 2d Marine Division, United States Marine Corps. Including his mother and sister.

I have many funny stories to share that he would not like, but would laugh about now, in Heaven. I just heard 19 may 2012.

I would enjoy telling you great stories of Dan from the past.

I can't stop crying. Love you man.

Dan,

I write this on the sixteenth anniversary of your crossing. To my best friend when we attended the University of Cincinnati. I'm sorry that I lost track of you in 1985 when we were both on the move. I learned of your murder in 2002 when I tried to find you again on the internet. But you already know all that. The world lost a good soul and my friend when you crossed-over. I miss you greatly, think of you often, talk to you occasionally, and will see you again sooner than later.

As any Boy Scout would understand: "You left this campsite in much better condition than you found it in".

Please give my Mattie a hug, and help him when he needs it.

Love you and miss you. Prayers to your family. God bless,
Greg

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 16th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

I am fighting hard now to defend the death penalty in California so that the killers of the 41 law enforcement officers (that include yourself and my son ) remain on death row where they were sentenced.
